Not even if you promised world peace.

Your basically asking for 3 lottery picks for 1. Favours is out of the question. Melo wants to leave Denver. So they have no leverage. IMO.

More than happy to call Denvers bluff.

I think this would be worth it. Where do you get 3 lottery picks from? Are you counting Murphy? Besides, it's not like Carmelo is an unknown quantity. He's what you hope the ceiling of a lottery pick would be, and he's in his prime.

Once a player proves he is a franchise player, he's worth more than a prospect or draft pick. Bottom line is, NJ has to outbid NY. If it's possible to do that without giving up Favors, then great. But if not, you're taking a huge risk banking on the development of a 19 year old, especially if Melo gets dealt inside the division to NY.

Care to back that up?

It's common sense. Would you rather have $10,000 or a lottery ticket that says: "five chances to win $15,000!!!"

You take the proven guy, and the best player in the trade, every time.

You can say Melo is not your top 10 players in the league, but how many of those guys are/will be available?

He is hands down the 3rd best SF in the league behind LeBron and Durant. I suppose you think they're attainable?

I'm trying not to take the bait, I really am, but you're making it very difficult.

And no, I don't care to back it up, you can do your own "research". It's called google.

And you're arguing yourself with circle talk.

You said... "Once a player proves he is a franchise player, he's worth more than a prospect or draft pick."

So, you're arguing his trade value is high because he is a franchise player and I am simply stating the FACTS, that most every blockbuster trade that has gone down in the HISTORY OF THE NBA has had a very meager return, less then a top prospect or good pick...

Now you're trying to spin it into his skill and rank as a player, which has little to do with your prior statement.

A majority of Denver fans are beginning to sound eerily like Raptors fans last season.

It's not like he has a couple of years left on his contract. He's an expiring, a "disgruntled expiring".
Nuggets have little leverage and Favors would actually be a very generous piece to include.
