Craigh Smtih to resign with Clippers-we should for Lin

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Tue Jul 20, 2010 6:38 am

We should of singed Smith since he only signed a 1 year deal so signing him would of still gave us the same flexibility cause an expriring is the same as cash.

Anyway you guys see Jeremy lin? Guy is a supersteal to whoever gets him. Lakers/Mavs are trying to get him plus an unnamed Eastern team. I have a feeling it's knicks but I hope its us.

We don't need another Guard . He wouldn't play here one minute , no need for Lin.

I'd look for a veteran pressence for the front court , somebody who's closer already pretty close to beeing a coach that can teach the young guys from tricks in pratice and doesn't neccesarily need any playing time . Even though i'm not exactly sure who that might be . I wouldn't have been opposed to bringing back Twin for the veterans minumum but he already re-signed with Atlanta .

I don't see whats wrong with Twin as a veteran pressece ? It's not like anybody who is left to sign would actually help our team . At least with Twin we know he's a good loyal character guy that would do anything for his team to win and support the team even if he's not getting any minute of playing time.

Well doesn't matter now anyway .

I'm don't think there's anybody out there that would actually help the team by playing so good locker room pressence and willing to teach the young guys some tricks to succeed in the league would be the best we could hope for in my eyes . Anything more then that has to be aquired by trade and i'm not sure i want that.

 Jeremy Lin. The great asian hype. Why even mention the dudes name, dont you know how many guards we have? We're talking about TWill or James not finding any minutes and you wanna add Jeremy Lin, seriously, wtf is that about?

I'd rather add Ishmael Smith while we're at it.

Well as a 13th man. You know they might let Ben on so why not Lin.

We really should of gotten Craig Smith since he would be an expiring contract.

I was at the point were I didn't think the Nets needed to make any moves until something good comes along unless Lee has good value.

What changed my mind was Avery's comments of big T only playing 1 and 2 and Outlaw and James only playing the 3.

See I figured if they each (outlaw and James) played 5-8 mins at the pf spot then that makes room for TWill gives Lopez some time to play with a stretch 4 and we wouldn't have to make any moves to keep our options wide open.

If they aren't gonna make the playoffs then why not have a high draft pick and cap room.

Doesn't get better then that.

The kid looked good quarterbacking the bench. Red Storm or something they call them.

Houston has Brooks and Law signed ahead of him but if they have a roster spot he should get it.

Smith did play like a capable backup in that Rockets game, but then again it is preseason. Someone should give him a shot.

Smith will be an NBA player for sure. A very good quality back-up. If the Rox dont have room for him i hope the nets jump on it. Uzoh can hit a 3 but is not an NBA player Smith is.

Uzoh sucks. I think the only reason we signed him was to be a practice player because of his high level defense. I would take Ish over Uzoh without blinking. I still wish we would have given Mikhail Torrance a shot, but it seems teams are really scared off by his heart condition.
