He overrated. There is nothing wrong him, he is just not as good as you thought. He had games like this vs good defense teams, and good defensive big man all the time. Never 4 in a row like this, i'm sure his confidence is destroyed right now. So thats basically whats wrong.

In the 12 games we won last season, brook produced more than his season average.

True but I'm talking about this season. The team seems to have evolved and has made massive improvements. Since the first 2 wins, he doesnt seem to be as big a factor which is what my post is about, not last season.

He wasn't a factor in the first 2 wins of the season where he averaged 24 points?

He's going to need about half a season to get back in form, if you want to bash him now don't do a 180 and nut hug him later. That's all I'm going to say about this topic.

The dude had like 8 winshares on a 12 win team, he's legit, he's just in a horrible slump, he's out of shape and weak, he's likely playing injured and like demens said his confidence is likely destroyed right now.

I still say this kid could easily be Pau Gasol good.

This **** is all knee jerk.

Imo his POTENTIAL has always been Pau Gasol. Not Duncan or whoever else he's been compared to.

Gasol is his MAX, and that IF he reaches his best form. Gasol took Memphis to the play-offs, and then became the 2nd best player on a team that won 2 championships.

Brook has a 12 win season on his resume. He is far, far, far from Gasol, while he could become close to him, its definitely not "easily", i think he's gonna have a hard time living up to Marc Gasol this season.

I honestly the combination of the mono, high expectations, and Avery being a demanding coach has destroyed Brook's confidence. It's not he won't be able to average 20+ a game this year, it'll just take awhile for him to get his head on right. I'm not THAT worried...yet.

I strongly support Avery's approach with Brook. If he can ever become a #1 on a playoff team, he will grow from this tough love.

As I said in da Bobby Simmons CHris quinn thread. We gotta bring Boone back or sign and trade him.

There are teams in dis league he'd start on (New York, etc.)

He put up the same crappy numbers against Dwight last year. Bogut usually owns the **** out of him too.

Last season when the team was down 30 at the start of the 4th quarter, Brook was still in and padded his stats to a respectable line before he sat out.
