Damn Portland is soon to be a very low upside team once Roy has to go under the knife again.

They're going to be one of those teams just good enough to make the playoffs, or miss them by that much, that they never get a good draft pick again, even without Roy.

Portland without Roy is probably still a 40 win or so team, at least high 30's. With him they're high 40's to low 50's, even in his current crippled state, but without him being at his true form, they'll never be true contenders.

They're gonna have a ton of trouble trading him if they decided to as well.

I think if Devin wasn't included in that 4 team trade we would've had a better chance at getting Melo to commit.At this point i'd only be willing to give up t-will,murph and picks.If not we should just take our chances in free agency with him because to give up our best talent makes no sense to me.

Every report I have read said that Melo was never even asked about the deal, and from the sounds of it he would still sign off on it.

Multiple stories have been written that people close to Anthony said he doesn't want to play for the Nets and prefers the Knicks. Anthony wouldn't confirm that.

“Everybody has their opinion on the situation,” Anthony said. “My options are open.”

When asked how much of what's being written is untrue, Anthony said, “A lot of it, about 90 percent of it.”


The Nets aren't taking the reports about him not wanting to play for them too seriously anyway. According to team sources, the Nets haven't been told they're wasting their time so they haven't stopped pursuing Anthony.
