This is actually what I fear. Murphy and something like the GSW pick and maybe Damion Jones reeks of a Billy King/Avery Johnson move.

I think Murphy/Morrow for Jrich/Earl Clark + future pick would be better. I dont know how valuable Morrow is to the Nets but Jrich is averaging almost 20ppg this season.

Would you do Troy Murphy for Luke Walton, Sasha Vujacic and two 2nd Round Picks? The Lakers Board would like to know.

Hell na.

And i dont see the suns getting rid of jrich. I don't think the suns have the pieces to pull a move off, financially.

Well even if it was a short stint last night, Murphy looked good with a post up and a drive into paint to score on both...this obviously helps in moving him...

I have a feeling about Iggy coming to the Nets...though I dont know if it possible working out the #s...probably not the direction we want to go in...JRich as well, though I can see Troy being more of a need to the Suns...same scenario, these moves dont push us closer to building a championship contender...maybe 10-20 more wins, just above .500 basketball 6-8 seed in the East...

not familiar with either player's contract...

Murph will not be moved until the Melo situation is resolved, which could take up until the trade deadline.

If we want to attract stars to the team, we need to either draft fantastic young rookies or acquire other star players, not trade for other old, mediocre guys that are more role players/fillers rather than foundational building blocks. You can't put band-aids over what needs surgery. Just look at the Knicks. It might to longer to recover but when we're finished we'll be better than ever. All of these other moves for average guys are just bandaids that don't address our real needs and aspirations.
