So this was my first game at the Prudential Center and whether it was because of the snow / the closing of the concession stands or whatever I wasn't too impressed with the setup / atmosphere :-(...

The place seemed deader than the Continental Airlines Arena to be honest, AND for the love of god stop with the god damn music all the time during the game! The few times quality chants were strung together they always ended up being drowned out by the arena sound effects.

It was also painfully obvious when looking at the scoreboards at times how not suited for basketball the arena is.

For others who have been what was your experience like? :-?

With this whole ticket exchange thing for tonight's game and the fact that I'm a diehard Nets fan I'll likely attend another game in the near future but as much as it pains me to say it... NJ has never really cared for the Nets.

edit:

I will say this though:

- Watching Travis Outlaw and Stephen Graham live is pretty hilarious. Their ineptitude when it comes to dribbling the ball is priceless.

- Dwight got away with some obvious goal tends and the referees really seemed to swallow their whistle with him in the second half. It's like they didn't want to tag him with another foul after he picked up 3 in the first half...

It was NEVER supposed to be a lost season. It was supposed to be a growing season, a rebuilding season. Heading in, here is what I felt the team needed to do in order to step in the right direction.

1) Brook's improvement as a legitimate post presence (scoring, passing out of double-teams), as well as getting stronger/tougher rebounding and defensively. I don't think I need to elaborate on how, so far, this is a failure (partly because of Brook dropping weight, partly because of the way he's being utilized, partly because of his own fault).

2) Terrence Williams' development into an all-around Igoudala type of player. Again, no need to elaborate on this. Massive failure here.

3) Development of Derrick Favors. While we're seeing improvements, it's not dramatic, and clearly, Humphries play is preventing Avery from giving Favors the minutes he needs in order to develop.

Fair enough, can't argue with that since that's what I wanted as well.

But, in all fairness, this season has been lost for quite a while now

Travis Outlaw is a liability on the court.
