Denver used you to get a better deal from us and they completely robbed our team. Meanwhile you guys went and got a better player than us while giving up less. Thank our team's stupidity for what just happened.

I'd wait a year and a few months to determine if the Nets were really winners in this whole thing. Deron is reportedly very shocked unhappy with this trade. That says a lot...if he wasn't planning on staying in Utah, and he's upset about going to NJ, you think he's going to stick around?

Nets FO need to sign some really good players in the next while to keep him around, hopefully they do and your team is successful with Williams.

Couldn't disagree more. The Nets gave up a nicer package. Melo and Deron are comparable value, difference being Melo wants to stay in NY, Deron is unhappy with the Nets trade. The Nets could get left high and dry.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

There are no reports of him being unhappy with being traded to the Nets, he is unhappy to have been traded.

He's just in shock because this came out of nowhere, and he would have the same reaction for any team...

I guess it's all speculation on both ends. Just realize that Jazz management doesn't trade a player like Deron if there's any chance he's sticking around. Likelihood is that he had some destinations in mind. I hope the Nets hold onto him, I really do. But more likely scenarios are the Clippers, Dallas and even NY.

Yeah, Melo doesn't compare to Deron, different tier levels.

Deron is close to a superstar, Melo is a fringe top 15 player.

what gave it away? the fact that he said "it's all speculation on both ends"?

It's the truth, Deron makes players around him better. Melo scores.

Deron is the better player.

We gave up less to get him then we offered for Melo.

We retained many more tradeable assets than you did after trading for Melo.

He has the better contract than Melo.

Your team blinked.

You want validation...yet you know deep down...your thunder was taken from you. No question...bar none in every possible way better move. Your risk is that oyu now have few options to add other pieces. Our risk is we dont have long term security on the core piece we just added.

You know what? MUCH rather have the risk of starting over than the risk of being jammed in the NBA.

Couldnt be happier we DIDNT get Melo. Couldnt be happier that you paid out your hole for him. Couldnt be happier to take the risk on Deron. it fails...it fails. But at least we'll know in a year. You fail it wil go on and on and on for years to come.

All possible. But you know? So what? We were willing to take the risk. You werent. Let me ask you this way since you have made sure to post this 12 times already.

Whose fans are happier today? Because Nuggets fans arent unhappy with what they got for Melo where you guys seem like you are ready to kill yourselves. You are trying to make yourself feel better by ruining our party and you know it.

Given a choice the vast majority of your fans would have prefered to take the risk in keeping Deron another year. So please stop trying to educate and warn us when you guys would have done the same and held on tight another year and hoped it could be worked out. You arent talking to fans that arent NBA knowledgeable pal. We are a small group...but passionate and know our stuff. We know the battle that lies ahead and like your fans...willing to do it.

You want to scold someone? Then send Billy King an email and please educate him on why he is a fool as you see it. In the meantime please stop peeing in our soup just because you are feeling punked. its a party man. And this one we are having comes after 3-4 years of paying dues, losing stockpiling traeable assets and finally making a move back up for a key piece. If you want to stay...grab a beer or STFU! Otherwise you are just killing the buzz.
