Re: Clippers @ Nets
Wow, what a game. Lost internet for awhile and then decided to watch it without the laptop lol.
Brook beastin', his stat line doesn't do justice to his impact and LOVED the super hard foul he put on Blake at the end.
Humphries, wow man. I know he's not going to be on fire like that very often, but he's pretty efficient and it's his rebounding and defense that should be there for good.
He still really scares me because it's a contract year and it almost seems too late in his career for him to "get it", but at a reasonable price dude needs to be back next year and you hope for the best.
So funny that just 9 months ago the motto of this board was "Dump the Hump!" and now we're all hoping he hasn't played himself into a contract that we can't match.
I'm wary, but optimistic.
It's really a shame there isn't a big time wing as a free agent this offseason, it's also a shame we never even got a crack at Rudy Gay.
As exciting as this team is, we're still FAR from contenders and I'm sure we're all honest about that, but just with some smaller tweaks and one decent move, like a Mayo, I feel we're firmly entrenched above .500 and in the playoffs, probably in the 4 to 6 seed range.
Now that certainly isn't the goal, but I think it says a lot to the point that some of those small tweaks and a couple big moves, one for a super role player FA like Tyson Chandler or maybe Afflalo, another a trade for a bigger name wing, added with a little luck in the draft and Brook growing a penis and this team has serious upside even without Dwight.
That's a ton of variables, but it's still exciting and realistic.
