Are you even watching games? Ever since Deron got here Brook has done nothing but SHOWN UP. He's been posting averages better than last year since the acquisition and he's been very efficient down the stretch in games too. In some sets you can tell he's actually calling for the ball too. Deron and Brook have both stated they've spoke about how important Brook is to the teams success and what he needs to do. In my opinion, since Deron was traded, he's done JUST THAT.

I just am perplexed with your logic that's all.

Nene is overrated. He's 28 and never averaged 8 boards a game, which Lopez, 23, did his first two seasons. Nene has been at best a 15ppg role player. Lopez could be a 20ppg (or more) and 8rpg player on a full season with Deron. Guess which one Deron would rather play with next season or who's more likely to be more interesting in a trade.

Did you even watch the game?? He was in foul trouble and taken out early in the 3rd quarter and only had 4 shots in the 2nd half.

I can't believe you're blaming a 23 year old CENTER for his closing ability when he hasn't even had many opportunities in that aspect since he's been on garbage teams throughout his short career.

Whoever blames lopez for this loss is just flat out delusional to say it nicely.

Whatever gets us winning sooner would be my guess. Deron has played with legit bigs (Boozer, Al Jeffereson, Milsap, Okur, throw in Kirelenko) none of them are soft.

The Nets didn't have the personnel to win. Wings that can dribble and make the post entry pass stood out most last night.

The team lost they all need to be held accountable. Unless you think everything's peachy and are satisfied with losing.

Some of the over-reaction for Brook's second half performance has been absolutely pathetic. I've seen people on Netsdaily who want him traded for the shoe incident. I really don't understand that considering he actually had a pretty good game, even if he faded in the second half. He was in foul trouble, and Knicks were double teaming him away from the low post.

Like others said, with Deron and hopefully other good additions, Brook can be a top center. He's a 23 year old center who has been surrounded by scrubs for most of his career. I would love to see how good Brook can be on a legitimately good team. His offensive game is as polished as it gets for a 7 ft center. Obviously there are areas of his game that need serious improvement but that can all happen through coaching and experience. It's not like the guy doesn't have a good work ethic. By all accounts, he has a very good work ethic and he's well liked by his teammates. Not to mention, he hasn't been 100% physically this season, as he is coming off mono and been playing with arm pain (calcium deposit) for most of the season.

That's right, they ALL need to be held accountable, yet all I'm hearing from you is that brook is a failure and that his poor 2nd half was the reason we lost..

Let me remind you why we lost. We couldn't stop either Billups or Melo. The bench turned the ball over 4 out of 5 possessions late in the 3rd quarter. 'Melo made Outlaw his bitch and outscored him by 35 points and Anthony Carter held his own against farmar and D-Will.. THOSE were the main factors that contributed in the 2nd half.. Not Lopez.

But yeah, Lopez is to blame.. TRADE HIM!!!!!! gimme a f***ing break.

As far as defense they could've doubled Melo in the third quarter to disrupt his rhythm. Billups played like an all star they have more talent.

NY had a decent gameplan to frustrate Brook in the second half: crowd him and be physical. They beat a seven footer up and he he did nothing/weak

He's not the only that gets blame player Sasha did nothing and Outlaw just got tossed around by Melo but then again this thread is about Lopez. :D

Actually Boozer, Okur and even Kirilenko are all soft. The exception is Millsap but he’s undersized, and Jefferson a question mark but he sucks at the pick and roll and didn’t fit with Deron.

Lopez may yet turn out to be soft but right now he’s arguably the most skilled big Deron has ever been on the same team with. Just look forward to a full season with a Deron at full strength working with Lopez, Hump continuing what he’s been doing, those wing upgrades and hopefully getting rid of some deadwood. Should be enough for East playoffs, and positioning for Howard.

So first you blame Brook and ask for him to be traded for Nene. Then you got exposed by jeff and prelude for trying to blame Brook for the loss to the Knicks and now all of a sudden it's the whole teams fault and not purely on Brook according to you as well? Still want him traded then for Nene?

As fas as defence goes, you double Melo, you leave either STAT or Billups who had a great game open, and Melo is a good enough player to find STAT or Billups when given the chance.

Was it Trout? :D

How did you win a chip with Trout?

Finally remembered who it was....Austin Daye.

Deron, Fields, Daye, Hickson, Howard.

I probably would have had 2 more but Deron got hurt deep in the playoffs (once in ECF, once in Finals) and my backup was Uzoh lol (actually turns out to be a decent player in 2k11...like a 72 type-ish PG)

Him AND Petro both in the same deal. I deserve to be GM of the year for that move.
