And you guys crawled in that mediocre way that left you too good to get a top pick and too bad to make the playoffs, that is NBA hell and the worst way possible to build a team if you eventually hope to be a contender.

As of now, I see you guys as a fringe 8 seed next year.Your parts are mismatched overrated young talent, Paul George's immense potential but mediocre present level of play and Granger, who I love, but has undeniably fallen off for 2 years running and definitely has that passive aggressive nature instead of a leader or a player with true killer instinct.

Huh?
IMO your next few years depend upon if Dwill signs. If he doesn't then your rebuilding starts all over without the draft? Thats further back than most teams. If Dwill signs then you still need to upgrade the team with a big signing which is a bigger if IMO. Lopez is good but nothing to write home about. If you resign Humphries this year and Lopez next year then your team is bottomed out in the second round IMO. It defiantly doesn't get past the ECF. New CBA and lower cap with no picks = no trade bait to get better.

Indy future depends on player development no question and getting more assets. IF Paul George doesn't become close to an all star then we aren't getting past the second round.

ALso I didn't say playoff experience with no talent upgrade is good way to rebuild. I just thought it was odd that he thought it took us so long to get back into the playoffs when its the same for both teams.

But again, it's not the same.

We properly tanked, you guys have been in mediocrity NBA Hades.

Deron, Brook and a bunch of scrubs is better then the current Pacers.

The Pacers as is aren't even necessarily a sustainable 8 seed and in fact I think you caught lightening in a bottle in a really weak year in the East, unless you improve a lot I don't even see the Pacers making the playoffs again, likely the 12th or 13th pick in the draft again.

What I will agree with is our future depends on D Will signing.

He leaves and we are absolutely screwed.

I will also agree, we need a major signing or trade to take that next step.

For one year its worked but it could just put you further back than any team in the NBA. I would also argue that Deron and Brooks trumps the current Pacers. One super star and an OK center doesn't get it done against a well balanced team. We'll see this year and depending on who the off season signings are I think we have a good shot at building a good team with a bright future.

By the way we had one of the worst coaches in JOB. His negative affect was so bad I can't even begin to describe it. Pacer - JOB = 10 more wins easily.
