I'm hearing of all these teams offering and having meetings with players, but the Nets have not yet made any headlines other than get two assistant coaches...Billy King needs to step it up.. Because last summer was atrocious

Have you been on NetsDaily? Butler's having his second day of meetings with the Nets today.. This isn't exactly the strongest free agent class and...free agency hasn't even officially started.

Honestly, given all the reports of how much these guys are gonna be making....no news is good news. Let all these teams amnesty their high priced players to sign even more high priced players...and let's just bid on the players amnestied.

It appears that the Nets decided not to overpay.

Nets trying to learn from lessons of last year, when they overpaid for players in free agency. They eased back on Caron Butler today.

Source corroborated what @WojYahooNBA reported, that Nets had chance to get Caron but wouldn't overpay.

Reported, Nets would need to give Caron between 7-8 million per. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baske ... e-1.988445 Clips ended up raising the ante to 8.

Aw yeah suckas!!! We did not overpay and get Caron. The non-signing of Caron is equivalent to signing a good player in my mind.

Billy must've succumbed to all of the Tweets the fans were sending him. I tweeted that he should look into Reggie Williams. Let's see if he does :)
