I'm not even sure the value was that off, but it was a complete sham that a league owned team is about to gift a dynasty to one of the biggest of the big market teams a dynasty for the umpteenth time coming directly out of a lockout where the main issue it's supposedly competitive balance.

We just gave up a kings random for Deron and the Lake show gets to acquire the best point in the game for two soon to be rapidly declining dinosaurs while keeping their best trade chip and all their draft picks?

Unless the Lakers would get D12, I think the Lakers actually lost that deal.

CP3/Kobe/MWP/?/Bynum

When did Bynum become a dependable big man that can go 35+ mpg for an entire season?

When did Kobe become 23 again so that he could run around and take on full pressure every game?

When have the Lakers won without a good big man?

This is Chris Paul being a punk. Flopping in court the won't award you the money. They stopped the deal cause it made them worse immediately and in the future while adding on salary. Not the traditional recipe for success.

It sounds like the Lakers were willing to give up Bynum instead of Gasol or else why would Mitch get mad that they didn't make a counter offer before rejecting.

This move just goes to show you how ineffective the new CBA is in preventing super teams. There easily could have been a CP, Kobe, Dwight trio in the summer of 2012. That could have had something to do with these events.
