I said back then if he was going with a wing he should have reached on Paul George or just traded back.

Paul George is going to make people look real stupid.

man I was thinking that the other night vs NJ...and he grew in the offseason...

Yeah, this kid has superstar potential and a likely case of an absolute ace of a role player and 3rd option.

Wait til Granger is gone and they put him at his proper position of small forward! :o

If Granger keeps playing the way he is, he may very well be gone by the deadline.

Same thing I was thinking.

His value has to be low right now as well and rightfully so.

He's regressed the last two seasons and is an epic slump right now.

He's still so young though, but one has to wonder if it's an early fall off into oblivion like Richard Jefferson, shame if that's the case.

I could see him as a trade target for us if he comes cheap and allows us to send out most of our 2012 salary though.

He's almost 29, I wouldn't call that "so young".

He doesn't have a game that relies on athleticism as much as RJ's did, though, so it's strange to see his decline.

Well most players of his supposed ilk stay straight prime through age 31 if not 32 before they fall off and as you said, his game does not so much rely on his athleticism and if you watch him play it's evident he's as athletic as he's ever been anyway.

Really odd.

Maybe he's having a severe problem coexisting with so many other options, he's certainly been a volume scorer a lot of his career, but that seems unlikely considering his usage rate and amount of shot attempts and possessions is only a touch out of line with what he usually gets.

He's been getting to the line less and less over the last few years as well, which is very concerning.

He always jacked a ton of 3's, but being a very good 3 point shooter, better then what his percentages suggest none the less, combined with his very good draw foul rate and ability to get to the line at a consistent basis always offset that. Now? Not so much.

IDK, it's kind of hard to put your finger on.

I wouldn't even be so thrilled if we got him at this point, I loved Granger, but all the evidence is piling up that for whatever unknown reasons he's losing it.

It certainly raises the red flag that he just doesn't care that much and that would be just awful if it's what comes to surface.

Eh Granger has always been overrated. We're not so much as seeing regression on his part as we are seeing the Pacers finally realizing that force-feeding Granger will get you nowhere.

Don't get me wrong Granger is still a good player but despite what the numbers say he's always been below Joe Johnson level good.

No.

Granger had some truly awful Pacers rosters with 30 something wins and primed to make the playoffs for 2 seasons before last but was injured for close to 20 games a season and his team had a terrible win rate in the games he missed.

His advanced, especially both forms of win shares paint him as what he was, a very good and impactful player who was overused slightly with straight junk around him.

He hasn't always been anything, he's slowly regressed the last 2 seasons though and epically collapsed thus far this season.

You've just always hated the guy for whatever reasons.

Now you have some legitimacy to go with it.

Hate Danny Granger? Who me?! Dude is part of my Big 3 in my 2k12 Bobcats franchise:

PG: Chris Paul / Louis Williiams
SG: Gerald Henderson / Anthony Morrow
SF: Danny Granger / Perry Jones
PF: Tyrus Thomas / Darrell Arthur
C: Javale McGee / Samuel Dalembert

---

No but seriously... You've always had a hard-on for Granger and I see that despite his poor play this season that still hasn't changed ;-)

Clearly it's Perry Jones, because he's doing awesome for Baylor.

Farmar for Wes Johnson. I'll even throw in Petro.
