Derrick Caracter

Hey guys, just wanna get some feedbacks regarding Caracter. He is very talented player and he can definitely help us offensively since our bigs currently are not offensively gifted. This guy can knock down short jumpers and he's got a few moves under the basket. He just got cut by the Lakers today probably because his contract would've been guaranteed if not cut by today. I dont know how it works when a player just got cut and a team wants to sign him. Can he be signed for cheap? I feel like we've been using too much of Humphries and S. Williams, thats why late in games they are not as effective.

I dont if Caracter has some character issues but, atm, im willing to do anything to make the games more watchable (havent been able to finish games to avoid heart attack).

We can cut Gaines and if we happen to need another PG, we can always call up J. Smith or JamesOn Curry, both of whom, i believe, are better than Gaines.

Laker fan here, I come in peace. Caracter would a nice young piece to add to your already decimated team. He has a solid post presence and looks decent offensively, and he made DeMarcus Cousins look terrible (as if that's saying a lot) last season when he matched up against him. I think last year when Caracter got arrested for drunkenly hitting a pregnant waitress probably spelled the end for him in LA, but we just kept him around because we needed a big body. He then tore his meniscus during preseason workouts this year and never made the active roster, although he working his way back and in the meantime put up pretty impressive stats in the D-League.

All in all, Caracter wasn't given time to show what he can do because Phil didn't play any of the rookies and because we already had Pau and Odom at the PF positions. So it should be interesting to see how he contributes in New Jersey/Brooklyn.
