He's terrible. There's a reason why the Warriors signed Kwame to be their starter. There's a reason why he only plays 16 min a night for them. He averages almost the same amount of fouls as he does rebounds.

They'd be better with Curry/Kobe/Wright/Lee/Bynum than flipping Curry and Bynum for Dwight, IMO.

Pau Gasol Traded?

I can't wait to see who the Lakers trade Pau for because it only strengthens our hand in a Howard trade by taking our only competition out of it.

Howard wants to join the Nets, he'll be a nets before the deadline or as a free agent.

Think I have to agree with JG and Ronito here at the same time.

A) Dwight would likely stay in LA if dealt there, they're the only threat that scares me.

B) Beans is trash, Jeff is right on that one. But, Dwight and Lee is better then Pau and Bynum.

C) Ronito is onto something. Curry/Bynum/Lee is probably better then Dwight/Lee/Blake just because curry is really good and has potential to be ridiculous, like an efficient prime Arenas who doesn't ball hog and Blake is awful. Yes Kobe controls the ball a lot, but the lack of a real playmaker and stud point guard in general is one of the main reasons they're struggling mightily on offense and Kobe is going all I'm Jordan mode.

Pau Gasol Traded?

Post#25 » by N Ireland Nets » Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:54 am

Latest rumour in bay area is monta lee and wright for pau mwp and ebanks.

Only way I'd see that deal happening is if Ellis was being moved for a pg or along with Bynum for Howard.

Should we be worried about any deals?

I personally feel like Howard is going to be a Net but the only team I feel slightly uneasy about is the Lakers.

If they were smart they would trade Pau for Curry & that would be the lakers set to compete in the west for the future.

Curry, Lee, Wright, Beans for Pau, Artest and a 1st.

Jesus, Jerry West has been retired for 40 something years and they'll have to reopen the record books to credit him with an assist.
GSW is NOT after guys 31 yr old...and older...or BIG $ damage.

Artest has sucked...but won't expire.

Am I wrong or does a trade where they trade gasol for these players and then turn around to trade for howard have to happen as a three way deal instead. I don't think once they are traded they can be traded again right away?

Bynum for Howard. And then Curry for the trade exception created in the first deal or the Brandon Bass tpe. Not a big deal.

Monta, Lee and Wright for Pau and Peace?

Hmm... I kind of like that for the Warriors if they don't just blow it up finally.

Also they are rumoured to be interested in getting Bogut somehow but i doubt they have the assets after a trade like the above. Could they work out a trade with anything other than Curry and picks?

They can have it fall under the CBA if it's a 3 team trade with these parts:

Lakers give: Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, 2012 Mavericks first rounder and 2012 Lakers first rounder.
Lakers receive: Monta Ellis, David Lee, and Dorell Wright.

Warriors give: Monta Ellis, David Lee, Dorell Wright, and Kwame Brown.
Warroprs get: Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, and Andrew Bogut.

Bucks give: Andrew Bogut.
Bucks get: Ekpe Udoh, Klay Thompson, Kwame Brown, and 2012 Mavericks first rounder and 2012 Lakers first rounder.

Not saying that's good value for the Bucks, just pointing out that it is possible under the CBA.

Teams would look like this:

Lakers-

Fisher/Blake
Bryant/Goudelock
Wright/Barnes
Lee/Murphy
Bynum/McRoberts

Warriors-

Curry/Robinson
Rush/Robinson
Peace/
Gasol/
Bogut/Tyler

Bucks-

Jennings/Udrih
Livingston/Thompson
Delfino/Dunleavy
Ilyasova/Mbah a Moute
Udoh/Brockman

I wonder how valuable Bogut actually is?

I would imagine his constant injuries and underachieving on offense has devalued him some.

Would something like Udoh, the Lakers pick and 2 future picks get it done?

Curry
Klay Thompson
Peace
Gasol
Bogut

That's a pretty nasty squad right there if they can stay healthy.

Yeh I read that the Bucks value him highly and basically arent hanging up if gm's ask about Bogut so he is highly likely to be a buck until the summer at least but the rumour was that the Warriors are basically looking to gain big men and basically like the Nets, under new management want to be relevant and make a splash.

As unlikely as it would be, that Warriors team above would be completely pimp and cause big problems in the west

Yeah, I'd definitely pay money to see that team, that's a contender right there if Curry could take the next step and they stayed healthy.
