Yeah, I'd take Vince Carter over AI all time, which is considered blasphemy by most people. But I think Carter was a much easier player to build an offense around, and he was better at all of the "non-scoring" aspects of the game.

They're both just outside of my top 50 of all time.

I think only players know how great/awesome VC is.

Vince was a monster. That first half season in NJ he was the MVP of the league.

He really was, not only in 05, but in 06 he just had a monster playoffs that's totally underrated. He went toe-to-toe with Wade and pretty much played him to a standstill, and that was the year Wade owned the league. Great 07 season too, pretty disappointing playoffs...but overall, that 2.5 year stretch was the best basketball he ever played imo, even better than he was in Toronto.

Anyway, speaking of Vince, in case you guys are interested, I advocated for him a lot in the top 100 project in the PC board, see if you guys agree or disagree...I thought I made pretty good points :

I can't agree that Rose and/or Iverson is overrated, but I will agree that Carter was the man, especially back in his Raptor days. Anyone remember that great series between VC and AI? Probably one of my favorite playoff series of all time, and VC best Playoff performance.
