It's looking doutbful that Bogdanovic will join Brooklyn this off season but he will definately join for 2013-14 season.

I see that Fener fired their Croat coach so maybe they will want to get rid of Bogdanovic for the full $500,000 odd we can pay for his services and a pre season game of some sort.

Would love him over for the new season.

This is a huge exaggerating of Pekovic's level in Euroleague. He was one of the top 2-3 low post scoring centers in Euroleague, but he was not at all dominant overall, and certainly no way was he one of the most dominant in history.

Pekovic was a second option center on his team behind Mike Batiste. He struggled for minutes because he was a bit out of shape and overweight (he's about 20 pounds lighter now), and he had poor conditioning.

He also struggled a lot on defense for most of his career in the Euroleague, and he was known as a below average rebounder in Euroleague.

Sure, he was one of the top 3-5 centers every year, for several years, but no way was he anything close to what you are claiming. Frankly, Pekovic is much better in the NBA than he ever was in the Euroleague.

He's lost about 20 pounds of fat, he has improved his stamina and conditioning, and he actually started giving more effort on defense and rebounding.

N Ireland Nets wrote:Cant believe people are down playing the Euro league so much. Its a good standard, Rubio found it hard to score or get assists in the league. It's a lot harder to score in europe than in the NBA in my opinion with different rules like blocks off the back board and pure zone defenses so therefore you rarely see anyone with high points per game averages. Now realize that Bogdanovic, since getting starter minutes and playing regularly (since Jan 1st) is averaging 20.2ppg and over 50% from deep, are you kidding me?!

The problem is that Bogdanovic didn't average 20 a game in Euroleague. He also didn't shoot close to 50% from 3 either.

I hope you understand the huge difference from his actual Euroleague numbers (13.0 PPG, 41% 3 PT% overall - 15.5 PPG, 39% 3 PT% "since January"), to what you are claiming here.

I like watching college ball a lot, but it is what it is, a bunch of kids from all over the country thrown together.

I'd take my UCONN over the best Euro league team in any series lol. Don't act like there is this huge *** gap between the Euro-League and NCAA son.

This is absolutely absurd.

turkishstar wrote:Bogdanovic is not much different than Sasha Vujavic. They are almost in the same level. And i think Bojan will never be a star in NBA

Their stats are almost same both in Euroleague and Turkish League

The difference is that Bogdanovic has a way higher basketball IQ. But be serious though, Vujacic is far better on defense.

If he's worse than Vujacic on D, I can't see how we'd use him.

How about a more efficient Delfino? Fair comparison?

Alas, another European prospect is overrated in the RealGM world. Until he puts up Dirk/Drazen-like numbers somewhere against NBA-level talent, don't waste my time. He's nothing special; for all we know, he's the next Sasha Pavlovic. We all know how well that turned out for him.

Writing off a prospect because they're European is (Please Use More Appropriate Word), silly ignorant and baseless.

1. He's better than Vujacic overall as a player. Definitely.

2. Vujacic is much better than him on defense. Not even remotely debatable.

When was Sasha Pavlovic ever considered a good player by European standards?

no reason to be unduly negative, but my honest reaction from watching clips is that hes slow and does not elevate well in traffic. im hoping for a knockdown shooter, maybe a guy that can rebound and push the ball a little bit, everything over that ill take as bonus.

Build around Scott Machado and a bunch of Euros.
