One thing that has been bothering me though is that in both games P.J. has held the second unit in for far too long. And in both cases the second unit has pretty much given away the Nets lead.
P.J. is essentially using the same second unit as Avery did, with a little bit of MarShon in place of Stack or Bogans, and while I don't expect him to drop a bomb on the rotations this early I honestly think the rotations need to be changed up so we're getting a different combination of players on the floor when the majority of starters are getting a rest.
On paper having Joe run the second unit sounds good, but the results aren't there right now. I think I'd pull Wallace a bit earlier in the first quarter and have him run for a few minutes with Joe + second unit or I'd play Joe the entire / majority of the first quarter, pull Deron early and have him run the second unit.
