This thread finished off my Christmas with a bang. It's like that Christmas story about taking things for granted when you really don't have it bad at all. In other words nets suck and boston is just good but I'm ok with that.

I like to come over here and read the nests forum because it makes me feel better about my team.

I'm not so sure the Lakers are a lotto team anymore to be honest, I feel I fell into the hype.

People kept saying 45 games for the 8 seed, but does anyone see both Houston and Portland holding on to a playoff seed at all?

I think you'll see the 8 seed with 42 or 43 wins. The Lakers would need to go 25 and 16 or 26 and 15 at this point.

What's so crazy about that? That's only pace for 50 to 52 wins on the season for a team with Kobe, Dwight and Nash whatever becomes of Gasol health or trade wise. Not really unreasonable.

They go on one hot streak of say 7 and 3 and they're right there again at .500 with a bunch of games left to basically play a touch above .500 ball to make it in.

Houston and Portland can absolutely hold on. And even if they don't what makes you think the Lakers 25 and 16? They are not capable of that at all.

They have never played anywhere near that pace? What is going to change?

They just suck. They have no chemistry, the worst coach, and outside of Kobe everyone is playing like trash.

I give the Lakers a 10% chance of making the playoffs at this point. Houtson, Portland, and Utah are all good young teams. Why would their pace slow down?

Obviously I am gonna have green goggles on being boston is my #1 team. I'm happy we beat miami today without rondo though. My view on Brooklyn is not biased and I watch brooklyn and NYK all the time because of the atlantic division. So my prediction is gonna be pretty damn accurate. You guys play miami on wednesday and after todays loss miami is not taking anything lightly.

as for the celtics they will be lucky to even make the playoffs after rondos acl tear.
