Good decision by Stern as Lopez deserves it!

Post-Kidd era he's the 3rd All-Star after Devin & Deron, and the longest tenured Net since the rebuild.

Just fits perfectly...

I still don't understand how some people actually think JR Smith is more deserving than Brook. He's a scorer that does nothing else and he's shooting below 40%.

I will say with great confidence that if the team was a roster of and extra 6 that Smith still wouldnt have made it or deserved it.

As it stands Brook deserved this over Bosh AND Chandler among bigs.

I am glad he finally got his due however it had to happen. One way or the other...for all those people that underrated him last summer from Orlando, to Philly, and on down...

SUCK IT.

Congrats to BROPEZ, he should have been there from the start.

Lopez is the best player on this team and gives max effort. I can't say the same for others on this team, hence why the Nets don't have any guards or forwards on the all star roster.

Kidd left in 2008. Kidd & VC both made it in 2007 before Kidd left. It was VC's last All-Star selection...

Joakim Noah has plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Any chance he misses the ASG this month and another Nets player makes it?

Big possibility he passes. Although I think J-Smoove or Jennings will get the nod prior to anther Nets player.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it's another Bulls player... :sour:

I wouldn't be suprised if it's Jennings since the Bucks are in the playoff picture and there's not alot of guards on the team. Ofc it could also be JJ and Deron but i don't think they deserve it.

Get a haircut before the All Star Game please Brook. It's getting out of control.

edit -- Just saw he got a cut for the game tonight!! Nice job!

He looks like a 7 foot penis with his haircut. I'm an advocate for a full fro, like he was starting in the summer.

Lopez with a bunch of "all-star rookie" mistakes last night:

1) never.... EVER... under any circumstances be the guy who inbounds the ball after the other team makes a shot. that ball is going down court and getting jacked up before you even reach your own FT line if you do. once the ball is in, run the other way, if you can bump into the ball and delay it getting inbounded, all the better so you can get down court and have the small chance of a ball jacker actually passing it to you or maybe get a putback chance.

2) when you see someone about to sub in for you...demand the ball, or hell just go take it, then thrust yourself towards the rim for either the uncontested dunk cause somone moves out of the way or draw a foul leading to some other schmoe getting subbed out instead of you.

3) as a big, dont pass. like ever. cause the ball isnt coming back to you. shot jack that stuff up. even if you have to throw up some BS or dribble it up court. have fun, no one is playing defense anyway, odds are you can a clean look at the rim

4) always set a screen. if you dont someone else will and you have 0 chance of getting the ball or no on will and the guy with the ball is shot jacking. if you screen, you have an outside chance of getting the ball and bring another defender in the area lessening the chance of shot jacking.

brook, hope this was a learning experience, next year in the 6-10 minutes you get i want 6-10 FGA!!!
