we dont match up well with anyone, except maybe the pacers, because they cant score.

atlanta, chicago, miwuakee, knicks, miami would all crush us ina 7 game series. and a few might sweep us

Paradise, I didn't expect a win. I did however, wanted to see the Nets fight. They did not. This team plays gutless against good teams and it was business as usual last night and I've grown tired of it.

You can call blunt honesty whining. That's fine, I understand that some don't want to hear the truth about our team, but at the same time, I refuse to accept mediocrity from a 300 mil roster or make excuses for them. They have too much talent to play like sopping wet pussies.

I'd agree with that because it's PJ coaching.

How didn't they fight exactly? They cut into the lead and got it down to 11 multiple times before Denver made a contested shot. Blatche was the only center who produced. If they made atleast 80% of their free throws it would have been close.

You have every right to be annoyed or frustrated. All I'm saying is your going a bit overboard. Denver is nearly unbeatable at home, Joe is our best SG peroid. He keeps the bench anchored and you saw what happens when you make Marshon a focial point. Turnovers and poor shots.

Since you mention the Bulls, they lost by 34 in Denver a month ago. Does that apply to them too? Of course not.

it doesnt apply to the bulls because:

1) they actually win a game vs an elite opponent now and then, like ending miamis streak

2) they defend

I actually have more issues with his play making that his offense this season. I think his decision making with the ball screams scorer over play maker. I know he "can" make plays and he can pile up assists...but his decisions for where to drive, where to pass how to move his players on a nightly basis? I mean Marbury put up stats too. So what? We knew going in that JJ was declining and has always had certain flaws...however at what he does well...if you throw out the value per $ from his horrid contract..still a player as part of your core he is valuable. Brook is the best offensive center in the NBA. Horrid rebounder and he plays soft.

Just to comment on this part, specifically Deron:

You've been doing a lot of complaining about him lately. What expectations did you have of him, exactly? You yourself said that he wasn't as good as Paul, and you never thought he was. So why are you acting like you expect him to play as well as him? I understand that overall, he hasn't been what we thought we were getting, but specifically after the ASB, he has been. He's returned to Utah form. Your complaints about him now seem like nitpicking, in all honesty, because there isn't a player in the league that is flawless. And compared to every PG EXCEPT for Paul, D-Will is a far better creator and operates with a higher IQ. So again, unless you're expecting him to be like Chris Paul, which you've already said he's not, then what is there to keep complaining about as long as he plays the way HE'S capable of?

That's a perfectly fair question and I can understand why you feel I am nitpicking as that my comments have been repetitive. But that has been more of a by product of having to read the garbage that comes out of Petrodouche and feeling the need to say...stop the madness already. This used to be a board where you didnt open your pie hole with authority unless you actually understood basketball. 99% of the comments I read are stated as fact and 80% of them have severe inaccuracy.

I am not looking to nitpick Dwil. I am looking to single out what the #1 issue is as I read through post from our guys that say....if so and so role guy would only do this or if we upped the level of player at the 4 like that is as simple as going to the grocery store and picking up a can of soup we would be fine. We are off the mark on the "main problem".

My primary issue is a cold hard dose of reality. The superstar is not as super as advertised, its a superstars league...and ours is billed as an elite play making PG. I find that even with his uptick in his own scoring has been noticeable since the break...that his play making game by game leaves a lot to be desired. And assist totals cen be deceiving. Rondo to me makes many terrible decisions on the court as well and he is an elite assist guy.

So I read a foolish diagnosis of these lesser guys and their failings and not seeing that the play maker isnt setting up his guys to succeed...I GET what Sloan had a beef with now that I get to see him every day. I GET why as talented as our big 3 is...and while we have good pieces...we arent under achieving. We are doing FINE for year one...we will improve in year 2...but...the real issue is that the top guy isnt maximizing what he has even now.

I disagree with several things you said about Kidd the other day but I havent had time to respond. You and I agree on most things from what I have seen of late. But by example? What was missed was that Kidd by way of example took a team of inferior offensive players and set them up for shots that were higher % for THEM by the way he set up. His feel for the game drive, shoot and most importantly when and where to pass to your guys. His flaw was he couldnt shoot off the dribble. He could hit the set shot 3 and has made a living of punishing teams who played off of him which many dont get. But, give me a choice between self creator point guad and one who makes everyone better and imposes his will on every play of the game...I will take the later every time. I see A LOT of poor fundamental passing from Deron in each game that happens because he made a bad choice just before the pass. He does not see the floor moments ahead. Now...you want to say that we are in an era of scoring PG's over play makers? Wont disagree. But that doesnt mean it isnt hurting us with the team WE have assembled.

My goal is to start to focus on what matters. To see it improved and to understand that all the whining we do is a lot about nothing until we either get a second superstar or until he "gets it". Otherwise...this is who we are. The ceiling is conf. finals at any time for the next 4 years...and most likely this season...getting to rd 2 would be great.

Anyway, sorry for my frustration and thanks for the question. You were right to challenge me with it. Nice job.

And we haven't won a game against an elite opponent now and then? Beating the Heat's streak doesn't mean anything. They beat the Heat before, everyone knows the Heat cannot beat teams that outwork them for 48 minutes. That's exactly why it took them 3 years in the Big 3 era to beat Memphis, Chicago, Boston.

They allowed 127 points to Denver IN Denver. They defend and still have lapses. It's the NBA. The whole point I am making here is overrating the loss to a quality team is still not justified enough. Complaining about PJ and the lack of logical IQ from certain players? 100% acceptable but going overboard is not justified here.

It comes off as complaining for the sake of it. If you feel that strongly about the team then simply do not watch because you are basically going to complain about stuff that will be expected for the rest of the season. The Nets have solid defensive numbers until it comes to 3PT% defense and FG% defense which are ranked at 21st and 22nd. That isn't changing tomorrow, so either deal with what it is or not at all.

If they suck in the next 10 games so be it, if they suck in the playoffs, so be it but I'm not going to cry about what ifs until I have 100% reasons too. Next season will be the true test with a total healthy team and a new coach before you see me going off the deep end.
