You must love Reggie Evans then. What a crazy statement though, defensive rebounds are one of the most easily replaceable things you can find, big men who can score with volume and efficiency are not.

Why would I want an elite defensive line (a luxury) when I could have a mix of offense and defense.

maybe because you win championships by playing elite defense. and because we would still have a great offense.

id rather have an elite defense and top 10 offense then a good defense and top 10 offense. i love how if you remove brook somehow dwill, jj, pierce, and kg somehow are not excellent offensive players anymore. those guys dropped 20 on the regular with no center to speak of on several teams in the past. also, its not like noah is reggie evans. he is a 50%/56TS/18PER player. he can score and finish if you double off him.

Without Lopez, we have litte to no post scoring. And please do not try and say KG in his limited minutes or Andray ****ing Blatche can be relied on. Because they cannot. Lopez was NUMBER 1 in points in the paint last year.

pierce can score in the post. johnson can score in the post. blatche was top 10 in PER himself last season. KG wont need to be relied on, he can chip in.

i dont care if brook led the league in points in the paint. a noah/kg front line would allow the fewest points in the paint, which is more important when you already have 4 all star players who can give you 25 on any given night

im not saying we arent a 55-60 win team with brook. we are and he would be a giant part of that. but with a win now team i want to maximize it. and our best chance to beat miami i think would be with noah over lopez. i mean, brook did all the things you said he did last year... elite efficiency, most points in the paint. but against miami he was pretty invisible. and beating miami is the goal

So youre telling me we can have an elite defense with Deron/JJ/Pierce/KG/Lopez on the floor.

Thats probably one of the best defensive lineups in the NBA. Despite Lopez's deficiencies. That team is well balanced.

D-Will, JJ, KG these players are not on the same level as Brook offensively. Pierce is the only one that has a case, if you judge them based on their play last season. I would not rely on any of those guys to carry an offense without another big scorer. And relying on a 36 year old is not a good plan either.

You seriously expect KG to lead our post offense? He is often injured and cannot even play that many minutes. He is NOT in a position to be our primary scorer.

Pierce and Johnson are perimeter players. We need someone on the INSIDE who can score. I don't want to rely on my guards for post play. That sounds like a terrible idea.

Your idea that Deron/JJ/Pierce/KG are all all-star players that can drop 25 a night is laughable. Lets remember that only one of those 4 guys made an all-star team last year. And he obviously didn't deserve it.

You can hedge your bets and pray that Deron and JJ decide not to become inefficient shooters, but last season didn't do much to help their case.

We NEED Lopez for scoring.

I don't want a center who can't stay healthy or score in the post on a team in need of young blood and consistent scoring.

Its a terrible, terrible idea.

you cant have it both ways,, you cant call KG a broken down player who will play limited minutes and miss games who shouldnt be asked to the lead the offense... then go ahead and say we can have an elite defense because KG is here to anchor it
