SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I'm not a regular poster in your Brooklyn Nets Forum, but I'm an Italian basketball fan and, believe me, I'm not sabotating your ballot.

Vote: Kobe (he deserves it)
nominate: Rose (if he comes back in a decent shape he is a top 5 player)

From an earlier thread:
NyCeEvO wrote:If you are not a regular on the Nets board or you don't post here often you need to vote for 3 rounds in a row in order for your votes to count.

I welcome outsiders to vote, but we don't want outsiders intentionally screwing up our rankings. No hard feelings but this is the most effective method I can use to make sure people non-regulars aren't sabotaging this system.

If you continue to vote in the subsequent two rounds, your votes will officially count starting in round 9.

I'm sure you mean no harm in voting here, but it's just the easiest way to make sure we get an honest voting system.

Thank'you. I already read it in the previous rounds.
I'll post my votes.

Westbrook? Really? Over the likes of Love, LMA, Kyrie, Lopez, Marc Gasol and Blake Griffin?

Why not?

I'm not really a fan of Westbrook, but I think #12 is a fair ranking for him, which is where he would be projected if he got nominated now. I have an issue with people that think he's easily a top 10 player and arguably top 5. But he's solidly in that 11-20 range.

Never been a huge fan of Love or LMA, especially Love, since he's a liability defensively, and he's just coming off a terrible season. I see zero argument for Kyrie over Westbrook based on health alone...yeah Westbrook just missed the playoffs because of an injury, but that was the first time he ever had to sit out with injuries, and he was able to play every regular season game. Kyrie has barely managed to break 50 games in each of his first two seasons.

Lopez, Gasol, and Griffin...all of them are really good players, but I don't see any reason why they should definitely go over Westbrook. I don't have a problem with someone picking them over Westbrook, but there's no reason why Westbrook can't be considered on their level or better.

We all know his flaws...he can be a low IQ chucker for a good portion of a game, and he takes shots away from Kevin Durant...but Kevin Durant struggled badly when Westbrook missed games these playoffs, which means Westbrook does a lot more positive than negative. Westbrook is an overall solid defender, with the potential to be elite when he focuses. He puts an enormous amount of pressure on opposing defenses (although he does bail them out way too often with poor shot selection and tunnel vision). He's an excellent player with clear flaws that hold him back, kind of like Allen Iverson. Or more accurately, he's a less refined Derrick Rose, who isn't coming off as serious of an injury. That kind of player is worthy of a nomination at this point imo.

Advanced stats rule the day...Harden wins this round.

And before we go on to the next one, I'd like to share a celebratory pic courtesy of Harden (...even D-Will got in on the action 8-) )
