I took the pessimistic approach where we lost to basically any good team on the road and I had as losses:
vs. Miami
@ LAC
@ Minny - they have our # early in the season it seems
@ Houston
@ Memphis
@ Detroit - their quickness and athleticism worries me some
@ Indiana - bound to beat us sooner or later
@ SAS
@ OKC
vs GS - beat us soundly last year as we don't match up well
vs. Miami
@ NY
vs OKC
@ Indy - 2nd of b2b
vs. SAS
@ Chicago - 2nd of b2b
@ GS
@LAL - 2nd of b2b
@ Portland - another team with athleticism we don't match up with well, they also look much better
@ Denver - speed and altitude and 2nd of b2b
vs. Memphis
@ Miami
vs. Houston
@ NY - 2nd of b2b
@ Miami
I also didn't put it in any upsets other than Detroit and Portland but there will be some.
Atlanta is a team that doesn't match up well either.

i dont have us losing to portlant, home against houston, home against okc, or on the road against the pistons. although those 4 we clearly COULD lose. i dont see anyway we lose to indiana.
in addition to the pacers being giant frauds, we own them. They are a completely different team when hibbert struggles, and he tends to become a non factor vs. guys who can match his size, like lopez. the only time they really had success was at the 4 spot with west. scola helps that, but with KG here they have even less a shot to exploit that. i just dont see where their scoring is going to come from, their slow half court style plays right into our hands, and they have no advatage since we are a better rebounding team

I would bet you we lose to Indy at least one time.
They looked so much better in the post season when Hibbert stepped up and have since added:
Watson, Granger, Copeland, Scola and thus improved their bench exponentially. George, Stephenson and Hibbert continue to improve as well.
As for rebounding.. they had the highest rebound differential in the league.

PetroNet believed that the Pacers were a fraud team all of last season, even after taking MIA to G7 in the ECF.
It'll be impossible to convince him otherwise, so I wouldn't invest much time in trying to do so.

I'm not.. I'd rather just make a bet and prove him wrong.
He also said the Pacers would lose to NY and Atlanta in the PO.

It's kinda sad, I know, but I tend to be a very argumentative person in real life too.
So far I think I only have two lined up and I think are pretty easy wins
1. The Knicks will not win more than 55 games
2. The Clippers will not win 60 or more games

Wait, someone actually believes the Clippers will win more than 60 games?
Especially in the West?

Have you not met LobCityClips yet on the GB?
therealbig3 wrote:Well, I mean, 60 wins is really tough, no doubt, and chances are it doesn't happen...but the Clips did win 56 games last year, and they've improved this year. Of course, teams like the Warriors and Rockets have also improved this year, so the competition has gotten tougher as well.
They've still got Paul and Griffin. They've still got Barnes and Crawford. And they've added Darren Collison, Jared Dudley, and JJ Redick. They're losing Chauncey Billups, Eric Bledsoe, Grant Hill, and Caron Butler...overall, I'd say they've lost a little depth at SF, but they've improved.
And most importantly, they're replacing Vinny Del Negro with Doc Rivers, which is a MASSIVE improvement.
If healthy, it's not a ridiculous notion that they win 60 games, but they'd have to be incredibly lucky for sure. Namely, the "if healthy" part. CP3 is a pretty injury-prone player, and he's been relatively healthy for the last 2 regular seasons. What if he gets injured and has to miss 20-something games this year? And most of their key players were very healthy last season as well...Grant Hill and Chauncey Billups were the only ones that missed significant time out of their key rotation players.
