Post#1 » by DrazenForThree » Mon Oct 14, 2013 5:53 pm

Both still free agents. both local guys, wonder if either would take the minimum to be be the 3rd PG here?

or maybe 10 day contracts until dwill is back?

we cant go into the season with ty taylor playing 15 mpg

We would have to waive or trade someone.
Who and for what is the question.

I feel like Telfair is what TT would be with several years of NBA experience. Athletic with a lot of potential with no actual substance.

As a 3rd string PG, Tinsley would be 'meh' I guess.

we waive taylor. its a no brainer. he is a poor player with a low iq and a super low ceiling who wont get PT here unless dwill is out anyhow.

cut him in a heartbeat

you arent getting better then 'meh' as a 3rd string point gaurd. they only play if the starter is hurt, and even then its limited minutes.

anyone good enough to be a backup will want to be a 2nd string guy to hopefully get them more then the minimum on their next contract. your only real chance would be somone ready to retire, but then wouldnt be reliable healthwise in all likelyhood.

as is i think tinsley/telfair arent signed because they ddont want to settle for 3rd string spots

I think Telfair isn't signed because no one wants him.

Tinsley may want a more prominent role that he's not going to get from any team.

While Tinsley would be serviceable as a 3rd string PG, I don't think BK would have the gonads to ask Proky to spend even more money to to waive TT and sign another player. Since we're so far over the LTT, cutting TT and signing Tinsley even to a vet min deal would cost at least $5mil this season alone.
