At least D-Will is practicing, if he wasn't that is the time to be really worried.. What is up with AK-47's back? Can't imagine its too serious since its the first we've heard of it, probably just sore.

He has chronic back problems dating back to Utah.

Good to know that Terry is fully back. I presume that's why they cut Forbes today.

I guess when TT comes back, they'll cut Gutierrez.

Some minor updates

Kirilenko, who has missed the past three preseason games due to back spasms, returned to practice on a limited basis Saturday. He hopes to be able to get through a full practice Sunday.

He hopes he’ll be able to play in Boston on Wednesday night. Kirilenko has dealt with back spasms in the past.

“It’s not difficult to deal with it, because over the years you kind of already have a little bit of a routine of how to deal with it,” Kirilenko said. “It usually takes like six-seven days. As soon as the pain arrives I’m like, 'OK, I’ll slow down and do some recovery process.' Sometimes we play three games in four nights, it doesn’t help.”

Kirilenko said his back spasms usually occur once or twice a year.

Seems like we will have TT, JET and AK-47 back for the Boston game and if not then all three should be available for the heat. Now I'm just hoping D Will is ready for the Cavs. If not that's cool. Rather wait til he is 100% and then have him back.

He's had back problems for years, and he's a pretty injury-prone player. I'm sure he'll be fine in the long run, but we should expect him to miss a few games this year.

Just as long as nobody suffers a bad injury and everyone is ready to go for the playoffs, I'll be happy.

Anyone else wouldn't mind sitting AK in that Cleveland game just in case? I really think he's vital to the opening night game vs Miami than facing Cleveland. I don't want any setbacks.

id rather he plays vs. cleveland... thats a more winnable game. i think we lose to miami with or without ak. Cleveland will be a tough oppnent, but a winnable game.

Signing Alan Anderson is looking genius right about now. These backs spasms are getting a bit worrisome.

AK is going to miss 10-15 games this year, it's like clockwork. But it's not really a big deal, because AK as a BACKUP forward for 67-72 games? That's amazing. Yeah, in those other games, we'll just need to rely on Anderson some more, probably play KG a little more, but I can't even describe how awesome it is to have Kirilenko as our backup 3/4.

It's back spasms. A painful thing to be sure, but not a long term concern.

Yep. AK missing some games is to be expected. As long as he doesn't have some serious injury that will hamper him long-term, I'm not going to get too worried.

yup, especially if it means more time for mirza... those are going to be opportunties for him to see 15-20 minutes
