On one hand it's great to see Pierce play well BUT it's kinda concerning because he wasn't brought in to be our best player but as a support for our supposedly best players.

If Deron and Brook dont step up, this team isnt going anywhere. Brook needs to stop taking the stupid jumpshots. You have 4 other capable starters playing alongside you, no need to force things or take ill-advised shots.

I agree and the majority of people here will too. I mean if he takes a few in transition here and there i'm ok with the shot but it's starting to become he main weapon which it clearly shouldn't be for a guy his size.

To me it's not. I think it's more important for them to get going and prove they aren't going to fall off a cliff in a new system like some people want to believe. The fact Pierce is averaging 17ppg, 5 assists, 5 rebounds on excellent efficiency for a supposedly lesser role in a new team is pretty damn amazing to me.

Coming into this season, I was more concerned with the type of production KG and Pierce would give early on in a new team. I don't think Brook, Deron and Joe will take long to get going.

Agreed.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Paul has ALWAYS been that frigging outstanding...and always has been criminally underrated. It is freaking unreal that he still can play at such an elite level at age 36. If he can avoid injury, he should be an All Star for the 11th time.

However, this team will not contend for a ring unless Deron & Brook have dominant years.

Yeah, if Pierce continues this play, he should easily make the all-star team this season. The reserve selections last season were nothing special.
