Frank is literally calling out the opponents' plays.
The Pacers game will be a tough, physical contest, but we have the depth to wear them down.
No excuses. Victory is the only thing that will be acceptable.

That's the kind of leadership we needed, and he's providing it.
I do wish he would bring that kind of leadership ONTO the court, when Blatche is playing like a moron. Get in his face and tell him to stop. Remember when he made Big Baby Davis cry after yelling at him? Do the same thing to Blatche and see if he gets the message.
completely agree. that blatche is allowed to jack up the **** he does on this team is just absurd. i dont think anyone else on the team took a bad shot tonight. blatche took like four. that none of the coaches or players have told him to STOP or were going to sit your ass for the game is actually really worrisome.
im fine with blatche last night. i didnt think he took any real ill advised shots. he had a few sloppy turnovers but in general he is sticking to either shooting it or being agressive right away.... less ball stopping and dribbling 10 or 12 times.

deepblueday wrote:also, im not really too upset at the orlando loss. yeah, it sucked, but its the nba, some nights you just lay an egg, it happens, and it happens to the best of teams. the cleveland loss really stings though, because it feels like we literally gave it away with laughable rotations and stubbornly refused to even try to win the game at the end.
im going to disagree... i dont think we laid an egg against orlando, i think we simply didnt show up. which is unacceptable in my mind. cleveland im much more ok with, even though the effort was C+ there as well

great win, if we can beat the wiz then we got the pacers which should be a gimmie... 4-2 wouldnt be so bad... that orlando loss is still pissing me off though
they are a trash fraud team. ahvent really played anyone yet. same as last year they will surely beat up on bad teams. they dont match up with us, and hibbert/george are not the same when they are faced with guys who can match their size.
anything less then a 10+ win would upset me. a loss would drive me more nuts then losing to orlando

Paradise wrote:Yeah, the Pacers game is far from a gimmie. In fact, it's our biggest statement game yet considering it's the first 'big' team that we will be facing. A win against them would be pretty huge.
Drazen may have odd irrational hate for the Pacers but Bulls fans opinions of the Pacers are 100x times worse. I guess it's just insecurity on their part.
i just dont fear a 49 win team that we curb stomped all 3 times, plays our game worse then us(slow halfcourt game) and who lays an egg whenever they play a west team or a good east team.
glad they matchup well with the heat, they are still completely and utterly overrated

Quiet-Dude wrote:like i said, this team is so much better playing inside out with Lopez in the post. i dont like to see lopez pick and popping, it only make it easier for other teams to run and the nets have a lot of offensive weapons to rely so much on that.
Agreed on this... and in general playing inside out with a number of our guys. Johnson and dwill in the low post is always a good idea to get teasm doubling or get a mismatch.
i also dont like lopez shooting those 18-20 footers or in the pick and pop. i know he has a great touch, but he doesnt need to settle for those, especially early in the clock

After watching the replay of the game, I noticed Kidd was shouting defensive instructions on the sidelines and the highlight of that was Kanter getting the ball in the post against Brook and Kidd yelled "dig" to Deron, Deron helped off Tinsley and got a clean steal on Kanter leading to a fastbreak bucket.
Once Deron is healthy and in sync, I expect Kidd to really help him get in better position defensively and alot more steals.
I think everyone is a bit over thinking the whole Jason Kidd dynamic. It's a complete night/day difference between Avery/PJ to him and it's clear everyone trusts his authority because in all 4 games including preseason, there has not been a single ounce of slippage in his 'no iso' system. That to me is a sign of respect and trusting his philosophy.
