Mirza shouldn't even be on the bench.. or actually he should.. on the Armor.

For me, i'm at the stage that a win is a win... entering tonight, handicapped, the end result is understandable...

but if I was going to give a game the moral victory tag, it would be last night... we lost, but I'm proud of our bench play... I really appreciate what I saw from our bench...

Shaun is clearly a starting PG in this league now

Say what you will, Blatche was huge last night for his part, I liked his support and his play. Was really competiting IMO and was showing some leadership for the young/starter-less squad... I was impressed and hopefully more fans were too..

Plumlee... this guy!!! great effort and hustle... just needss more time in practices at the FT line...

My boy TOKO!!! good to see him out there and not so out of control.... needs a jumpshot but little by litte...

TT... i have my doubts but you do try hard and play reckless... for good or bad... never like that back in Kansas...

Yeah, I usually don't believe in moral victories, but we played a full strength Clippers team in their building without 4/5 of our starting lineup and without our best bench player, and we almost played them even.

Sucks that we lost, but that game actually gives me confidence about this team moving forward. We can clearly play with anyone at full strength, we just have to play with a much better sense of urgency with our starters in the game.

It definitely looked worse than D-Will's.

I think Deron played his up a little bit because he wants to be super careful about anything ankle related.

Lopez looked like a 5-7 day sprain while D-Will's looked day-to-day.

as i mentioned before this game... im fine with those 2 sitting out a few weeks. those 2 have been giving pretty poor efforts and brining 0 energy. whats worst is that they mention "we need to play with more urgency and intensity" after an awful loss only to come out and play with 0 energy to start the very next game.

meanwhile, with 4/5 of our starters our or team comes out and brings the best effort we have seen since earlier in the preseason. ill take JJ/Pierce/KG with some combo of livingston/blatche/evans and bank on a win. Livingston brings much more energy and actually plays defense. blatche is a fool and evens is a role player but both bring 110% effort at all times.

if dwill/lopez miss the tomorrows game there is no chance we lose it

i wouldnt call it a moral victory... for me a moral victory would be our starters busting their humps for 30+ minutes but falling short in a heartbreaking loss. its an understandable loss and you love the effort our bench guys gave stepping in but the problem remains our starters have been hot trashing brining no effort and i dont see why that would change now because of our bench.

we are 3-6 and have played basically a cupcake schedule thus far and our opponents havent really played well against us. yet here we are winless on the road and having been blown out by some of the worst teams in the NBA.

6 losses already. thats pretty bad considering we have tons of good teams to play. i can see this really spiraling out of control. i dont see any signs of why the losses might stop piling up, other then dwill or lopez missing extended time and a bench guy really stepping up bringing energy and inspiring this team(ewing theory kinda thing). otherwise i see a 43-44 win type season with potential for worse

At full strength they played up to their talent level in games against Miami/Indy. Last night was no different.

no they didnt, the heat laid a giant egg as they did the entire first week or so of the year. the heat also were out partying til like 3 am the night before. and our effort against the pacers was among our worst all season.

this teams first priority isnt basketball for some of our best players. thats why we stink. and it isnt gonna change. king needs to start moving guys, as it looks like dwill has rubbed off on pierce and KG and not vice versa. you can only watch your best players give crap effort and not care for so long before you just start mailing it in yourself

Lol The Heat partying? That didn't happen. They practiced twice before the game. We beat them because we expolited our height advantage and played off the whole 'we hate miami' thing. They relaxed against other teams and that is why this team isn't above .500

Our effort was perfect fine against the Pacers. We simply could not contain Paul George down the stretch. I don't get your irrational logic with Indiana but we didn't make smart plays while the Pacers did. That has nothing to do with effort or energy. Garnett, Lopez diving on the floor for lose balls in the 4th game of the season shows the level of effort is there when it's a contender vs a lottery team.

Anyways, your next up for the game thread.

Watched this game and noted some positives: Livingston, Anderson, Blatche, Plumlee and Taylor balled! the only player that really disappointed me was Teletovic, he just seems somewhat clueless out there and is a liability defensively. Blatche also needs to improve his defense, offensively he really can fill up the stat sheet, but defensively he is either a step late or just doesn't make the right instinctive play, im hoping playing more with KG will get him to do better but he did a solid job minus not fouling deandre jordan at the end and giving up that dunk.
