This team doesnt make sense at all....

with that said, good sh*t on the win.... however this doesnt get them off the hook, I'm still pissed out of the majority of those 12 losses so keep playing winning bball!!!

Happy to see Mirza playing well... its all confidence for him. Toko getting burn!!!! joy!
PP, he was injured, seems the best bet(as predicted) for a starter to move to bench/6th man.

Props to Blatche, knew he'll be balling.

JJ, straight gamer homie

My sports teams are currently experiencing suckiness. Please pardon the mess.

Pierce is injured, calm down.

Just like how he predicted us to do better without Brook.

Yet, it didn't happen.

Again, perspective is necessary.

Can you make a really strong argument that Deron is massively overpaid and overrated? Yep, and I'm beginning to believe that (and pretty much everyone can confirm that I've been maybe his biggest apologist ever since the trade).

But does he HURT the team when he plays? If not, and if he has any sort of positive impact whatsoever...then I don't see why anyone would want him to not play. Especially when you look at how much Livingston has struggled, how inconsistent and boneheaded Taylor can be, and how ineffective the offense in general has been. Yes, he sucks defensively, but so has Livingston (Taylor's good though), and it's much easier to cover up a PG's defensive issues than it is to cover up a PG's offensive issues. A healthy Deron is the best offensive player on this team, and we need him back if we ever want to reach contender status with this team. It's that simple. And it's not even like Deron is THE problem on defense whenever he's out there. I don't see Johnson and Pierce staying in front of their guys either. The ONLY perimeter player on the team who's been able to stay in front of his man has been Taylor, otherwise, it's been a free path to the hoop. IDK how closely you guys have been watching Livingston, but his defense has been pretty poor as well. So basically, Deron's defense can't really make anything worse, and his offense will certainly help. So I'm hoping he comes back ASAP. IDK how much longer we can survive with Livingston and Taylor as our PGs.

Also, I honestly think that things are looking up. As jeff pointed out, we have a ton of home games coming up.

And, look at the players on our team. Johnson has been pretty good all year, and Garnett looks like he's finally settling in...he's hitting those midrange jumpers, and he's providing the defense we've wanted from him. Brook is back, and doesn't look like he's hampered by his injury at all. Blatche has been so much better in recent games. Mirza has stepped up as a solid bench player. And Plumlee has been better than most expected as an energy big and finisher.

We have 4 huge question marks imo, moving forward: Deron's health, Kirilenko's health, Pierce's effectiveness, and how to integrate all 3 of those guys into the offense. But the rest of our rotation seems to be playing and clicking just fine now, which is huge imo.

Brook's last two games have given me some cautious hope that we can turn things around. He's clearly our best player and going forward should be treated as such, meaning, give him the damn ball in every qtr and let him work. Everyone else should be playing off of that.

We need to build from here though. We can't just win this game(which was a gift from the basketball gods) and then drop 3 straight. We need to put together a streak and dig ourselves out of the hole.

yes. i hope he is traded. for anything. i never want to see him in a nets uniform again. dude is a whiny diva with glass ankles who has been living on reputation more then play since he has been here. i dont see him fitting in with this group either and weve looked awful every second he has been on the floor this year.

im down with whatever PG they want to put next to johnson/KG/Lopez

never predicted that. predicted the energy level would increase, which it did(i.e. clippers game).

for me its not about defense. its about the attiude dwill brings, the low effort level he sets as an example for his team and kinda forces on us as our primary player/ball handler and his inability to get by his man

You do realize the whole team has been that way right?

His inability is based off his injury.

right, and i think the "whole team being that way" is like 99% on dwill shoulders. when your best player/star plays with 0 passion and doesnt care i think that trinkles down. hell even GOAT type competitors like KG are looking like dogs on this squad.

as far as inability to get by his man... i dont think its injury, as he wasnt really getting to the rim when healthy during his second half stretch last year. his 3 point shooting went through the roof, but he wasnt really getting to the rim or the line. too much dribbling while going nowhere. i havent seen him get by guys consisetnly since the 15 or so games he played after first being traded here

We must be watching different games.

When DWill was healthy last season, he was freaking spectacular.

I expect the same sooner or later this season.

If you take the court you have to produce, no excuses.

Alot of his sub par play last year was due to his conditioning.

You don't have to lie to make your point. His ability to break defenders down off the dribble was CLEARLY elite post-ASB last year, and he was getting to the rim with ease. His explosiveness, his finishing ability, his lift, his speed, his quickness...everything about his game returned to Utah form, except with even better outside shooting.

He was getting to the rim a lot post-ASB, IDK how you can say otherwise.
