he was bad. it was one of his worst games this season. i dont mind his offense. even when he was younger and scoring 20+ ppg he wasnt really a guy who scored on his own or going to the rim it was more being active and sticking jumpers in the flow of the offense.

i really just need him to defend, get lose or 50/50 balls and prevent offensive rebounds. last night he gets a giant F minus in all 3 areas.

He helped force multiple defensive possessions on Perry Jones and KD. His defense was great last night.

no, it wasnt. in fact, it was terrible and one of his worst defensive efforts of the season. having some key stops late doesnt negate how awful he was throughout the game. he was one of the main reasons we were down 16 to begin with. he allowed a ton of second possesions, got blown by a ton, missed a TON or rotations, overhelped(although a bunch of that is on dwill).

it was pathetic. its to the point where if his defense continues at the level you cant keep him in the lineup.

once AK is healthy and blatche is back he shouldnt be playing at all. his effort/intensity was his biggest asset. now he is one of the biggest dogs in the league

What game were you watching? KG was one of the reasons KD had a relatively off night. He was great defensively. The team as a whole only allowed 6 offensive boards and none of their bigs scored more than 10 points. He was also a +14 in a 2 point win, so he obviously wasn't on the court when OKC made their run. His offense remains a problem but KG was great defensively last night.

Meh, I personally thought KG's defense was awesome last night. He totally blew up the PnRs and whenever anyone tried to split the double team. We got key stops late because of him.

I agree, D-Will's defense was pretty bad, I mean, he was being crossed up and blown past by Derek Fisher. But his offense made up for it, and before the JJ jumper to win the game...D-Will scored the last 5 points for us that gave us the lead in the first place (3 pointer to make it 91-89, and then a really sweet Dream Shake jumper that made it 93-89). I'd give him like an A- for that game, mainly because he played a bad 2nd quarter and he played bad defense for the most part. But he was still the MVP of that game.

The one thing I am concerned with about D-Will though is that pretty much all of his points came off jump shots. Nothing came from him attacking the rim. I really don't see this kind of performance as being sustainable, because imo, all that really happened was that he caught fire from outside. What happens when his jump shooting comes back down to Earth? He needs to attack the basket with more aggression and break down the defense more. And yeah, get him in the post some more. But it's good that he was actually taking the shots instead of passing them up.

He had a couple of floaters and one short jumpshot in crunchtime off the "Dream Shake" - so I wouldn't be too worried. He also took Fisher down to the post atleast once or twice. It's not like he was just standing around outside. He mixed it up nicely I thought. I know what you're saying though - jump shots generally aren't sustainable but Deron (particularly 2nd half of last season) has proven to be an elite shooter when healthy.

I was more encouraged by how aggressively Pierce was driving in. He wasn't finishing but atleast one of those led to an offensive rebound and a couple could've led to FTs. It puts less pressure on Deron to drive. He's not a guy that's going to drive in 10 times a game and average 8-10 FTs. If Pierce is attacking aggressively, it makes Deron's life easier.

Wait, what? Are people actually complaining at KGs defense last night? It was excellent. His pick-n-roll defense resembled the kind he played in Boston. This was one of his strongest defensive efforts this season.

I thought he had an overall good game. He should've made that shot in the paint in the last minute but he rushed the shot because he wasn't expecting a pass. But overall, he was key to this game. Hell, he had a +14 in a 2 point win, that passes the eye test for his game to me.

Yeah I don't get it, KG's defense was pretty great last night. His offense still has to come around, because he's still missing a lot of shots that he normally made in his sleep while in Boston, but that's the kind of defense I expect from him.

That is the kind of defense we hoped would rub off on Brook and mold our front court...now he has to try and anchor it (when playing) while consistently showing good defensive habits which hopefully become contagious...it is all about decisions on defense when to cheat when not to...gotta give him credit vs KD.

As for his offense, double figures twice in his last 10 games while shooting 36%...I thought he would be at least 10/7/3/1 guy for us, on the low end.

I think it is all about his energy (stamina) and how much he is able to bring that night...
