Looks like an msg replay for me! Missed the game due to the craziness of my son's birth. If I can make it to 1 I'll watch it. Sounds like an overall good game from everyone. Dwill look sharp?

He missed a lot of open shots but he looked pretty good. It was weird seeing him come off the bench.

The Knicks scored a total of 80 points tonights, the lowest amount we've allowed so far this season. And here I thought Deron would single handily cause us to allow 145 points.

i started it before the game.

i mean really, whats the downside? just ride it until it stops working. starters have great chemistry and Dwill is a great fit with the second unit players... mirza/ak/blatche seem to just suit him better. and our second unit will never have to worry about terry running the point

Starbury2CptJax wrote:At what point do you wonder that the fluid ball movement and uptick in defensive efficiency is due to not only players getting healthy but because Lopez isn't playing? KG is at center where Doc wanted to use him after Perkins was traded. Johnson and Pierce can guard slower forwards and help space the floor better.

Livingston's length on defense is severely underrated and his role blends in rather smoothly with the starters. Joe and Pierce are able to post up and KG just spots up with his trademark 20 footer. Blatche still Blatche's but when he plays center, he tends to have a massive quickness advantage that persuades him into more drives than just all long jumpers in addition to centers being less agile and able to strip him on his isolation dribbles.

Sure the rebounding and at the rim defense may not be as good but it's great to see these guys be able to guard a pick and roll and be able to switch on the perimeter.

I know the Knicks are a mess but this has been a budding trend for a few weeks now.

there are more role players in the starting lineup and i think that always benefits ball movement. you can have 5 guys who can score 20+ and they can be unselfish, but that still rarely works out. you get a role guy in and the ball just sticks less. i think it has less to do with lopez specifically and more to do with just 1 or 2 more role guys in there.

on defense though, i think KG at center instead of lopez DOES make a big difference.
