Well, we're actually in pretty good shape right now. We are 3 games ahead of Charlotte & NY in the loss column and the Cats will be facing a rough schedule with Phoenix, Golden State, San Antonio, Dallas then us and the Knicks have Miami, Portland, Denver, OKC, Memphis coming up. We trail Washington by just 2 games for 6th in the East and they have OKC, Portland, Sacramento, Memphis, Houston, Toronto coming up this month.

We probably won't finish above .500 but neither will anybody besides Indiana, Miami and possibly Toronto. So, we're making the playoffs barring a major losing streak or injury.

Well I missed the game but going by the box score it was a disaster. Anyone care to give me the cliff notes?

first quarter we traded baskets the first 6 minutes until it was like 15-15. livingston was playing great and has like 10 of our first 14 points or something. defensively we played ok to start but they moved the ball and hit shots.

then we made subs, they kept scoring, we stopped scoring and started turning it overs. this continues for another 35 minutes. the defense and offense were as bad as weve seen all year, and the effort was 'tank' worthy.

The bar by which we judge DWill is so low. Even the Celtics game where people said he played well. That game is an average game for a top 15 point guard and subpar for a top 5 one.

We've catered to this guy, given him the keys to the franchise, for what?

And I don't want to hear BS about oh he's a team player, he wants to come off the bench. If he had a competitive bone in his body he would want to start, he would look to take over games when other guys go cold instead of deferring., and play with greater effort overall on both sides of the ball.

Yes, we can all get mad at these other guys for screwing up, but DWill needs to be held to a higher standard, one that he continually fails to live up to.

The guy cost us the game against the Raptors. Any competitive player would've come out with a chip on their shoulder looking to prove something.

Yes, that's what I've been saying. He should be dying to start, he should be our fiercest offensive weapon. He's playing like such a soft puss. IDK what happened this season.

I'm such a huge Deron fan, but as of lately I just can't. He robbed the Nets of 100 million and doesn't give a ****.

He's not even playing average ball now.

Put this guy in the starting lineup Kidd! Try letting him get established sooner in games. Move Livingston to bench.

Honestly I'm not gonna over react to this game because being realistic these guys just blew out the Champs on their home court so this really didn't come as a surprise. TBH OKC is clearly the favorite for the chip at this point in the season.. However there are certain things that can be taken from this game. Jason Kidd should adjust to big lineups like OKCs. We got murdered on the boards.. I would have genuinely liked to see Mason get his first start this season. KG by himself just stood no chance vs Ibaka, and Perkins. Pierce did a valiant effort but its not fair to leave rebounding against true big men up to him.. That's just asking too much. KG didn't record a single point last night but he's one of the few players I could tell genuinely cares about winning.. I thought that block and technical would maybe light a fire under this team ass as it did for Boston soo many teams but alas this is a much different team. But alas this is a much different team. This is a team with Deron Williams and Joe Johnson at the helm. Now you can be mad at the new incomers but they knew they were going to be role players on this team. On the other hand DWill and JJ have a combined $200 million contract and combine for 20 points, 3 assists and 6 turnovers.. thats atrocious. For Joe it's much more a mental thing. We know he can score, he knows he can score but the problem is he only took 8 shots.. I want to see him average about 15 a game. On the other hand, Deron has jus been constant disappointment after disappointment. He had 1 assist to 4 TOs and thats an $100 million PG??? Are you stupid Deron? Derek Fisher literally stripped the ball right out of his hands as he brought it up court.. Then couple plays later DWill throws a sporadic pass out of bounds to no one, and a few plays after that he dribbles the ball out of bounds off his foot.. I honestly think that Lin/Asik trade that was floating around would benefit the team soo much more at this point. I'm tired of seeing a fatass PG turn the ball over. Acting like he can score at will.. when I have yet to see it.. He's turning 30 in the a few months.. He's not going to get any better.

what a crock. Pierce has been just as big a leaderless, passionate-less bum as dwill and johnson have. and while KG has shown some signs of fire, he overall has been putrid in that regard as well. king , in his own words, brought in pierce/KG for one reason. "leadership". they get a giant F-minus on that so far.

how about he makes a layup now and then? especially a wide open one with the game on the line.

Hey I agree, if you look back at the last game thread I put KG at the forefront of the blame. Trust me KG knows it himself better than anyone. But as someone whose watched him from day 1 I'm telling you KG is doing everything the same as he's always done in terms of leadership. I think it's fallen on deaf ears. KG brings it mentally every game its jus a matter of the body not being able to do what the brain wants. KG and Pierce are a combined 73 years old lmao. If this trade had happened just a couple years ago then things would have been dramatically different. However basketball players have a shelf life and thats a sad truth. Pierce and KG, much moreso than Pierce, just don't have it in them anymore to lead a team.
