with no center spot lopez will never start. especially with a fan vote

He could still make it in the starting lineup based off suspensions, injuries, anything.

i suppose, although he would have to make the team, which i think is extremely unlikely ever again. i think his career is pretty much gonna be 25 mph 12-14 pts 4-6 rebs

That's actually a good point.

Lopez has had all of these injuries and he hasn't even been playing a ton of minutes.

It makes it even more of an imperative to keep him below 30mpg at least for 1-2 full seasons to prove that he can handle it without getting injured.

But in order for us to be a serious playoff team, your best players need to be able to play 35-40mpg in every playoff game.

This just makes the idea of having Lopez as a centerpiece to the franchise going forward even more doubtful.

if KG comes back i think it can work because i think brook is better suited to help a winning team off the bench where he can dominate reserve bigs offensively and his defense isnt as glaring a detriment because of lesser offensive players on the floor for the opponent.

KG for 20-25 minutes, brook for 15-20 minutes plumlee eating the rest i think would work well.

Yeah, but that's only if KG comes back.

If the team has to put their hope in a 38 year old KG in order to keep everything together, we'll be in serious trouble (and unfortunately we've been in a precarious situation for a while with Billy King at the helm).
