Tonight, neither Plumlee or Blatche could guard Al Jefferson. Collins came in, and immediately gave up an And1 to Al Jefferson.

He is there as insurance as our 4th center. a veteran who will be in the right spots and give you average or better defense. im really not sure why the expectations of a 4th string center are to come in and shut down the best offensive center in the league who already had it going.

i really dont get the collins outrage... i mean, who would you rather have on the team who would accept that role (mostly DNPs)

Honestly, Twin was probably brought in moreso because Kidd is his boy, and the Nets brass salivated over the fact that the media would laud the franchise for signing him

Basketball wise, he's a moot point at this juncture. Twin should be the last topic of discussion. The real elephant in the room?

Andray Blatche has regressed horribly. With Garnett and AK47 on the shelf until god knows when, and no Brook, you'd think this dude would step it up and become a legit scoring threat and rebound half decently.

No. He has been terrible, and i think his awfulness is one of the main reasons why we took L's on the road trip

He has literally done nothing for the last week, aside from allowing players to abuse him downlow.

I've changed my stance. At least Brook 90% of the time will come back at you on offense. Blatche looks horrible, and his minutes are a detriment.

Yeah, Blatche has been a pretty big disappointment this year. I was expecting a lot more out of him coming into this season.

Plumlee was playing over his head for a while too...I think teams have realized that he's only good at catching and finishing around the rim. Other than that, he doesn't really provide anything, and his defense still needs a lot of work.

We need KG back, badly. Even if it's just 20 mpg, that's still 20 minutes of elite defense and rebounding, and 20 minutes that we don't need to play Blatche or Plumlee.

I've BEEN SAYING THIS.

Funny how a little road trip has a few of you echoing the sentiments of myself and Prokhorov for pointing out the obvious about how awful this team is away from home.

Lots of talk about beating the Heat/Pacers or giving them work in a second rd series. We may not even survive a first rd match up with the Bulls for god's sake.

It's clearly obvious now that the talk about winning a 1st rd match up on the road will be a foregone conclusion.

the bigs have played GOD AWFUL. We all need to hit our knees and PRAY that KG and AK47 come back

I don't get how a road trip in which we went to OT ALL 3 GAMES confirm to you guys that we would be screwed without hca, specially given the fact that we were without KG in all 3 of those games.

But whatever, perhaps i have too much fate in this team.

I'll never understand the roller coaster of emotions this board goes through. Some of these guys must be really emotional.

Two OT losses on the road. One coming off a back to back. Both of them without our two best defenders. This is after beating an extremely tough WC team on the road.

Were these losses a let down? Yes, definitely. Are they the end of the world? Absolutely not. If we were embarassingly blown out both games, I would be concerned. We lost two grind it out games. Missing two key players. Two VERY winnable games. It happens. You guys are such nervous nellies that you think every game is a must win and anything less than the 3rd seed is a giant failure and we're going to get swept in the first round.

Guess what? A late March game on the road vs. the Bobcats shouldn't decide how you ultimately view our team. If three days ago you were confident in this team and now you think we're going to get swept in the first, you need to re-evaluate some things. Nothing has changed. We're either good enough to make noise in the playoffs or we're not. If you think we're not, then stop flip flopping please.
