Indiana has not looked good for awhile. Would much rather play against them.

Their record is primarily a reflection on their start and not at what level they are playing at now. I feel like we would be the favorites for that series even though they have HMA. Slight favorites.

P.S. Houston had an absurd schedule @BKN, @TOR, OKC

I worry more about this team winning games on the road vs, the Bulls.

As a Nets fan, if you're remotely concerned about Indy, you are putting the cart before the horse. There is a legit chance we lose to Chicago in 6 games, we are AWFUL away from Barclays.

four players on the bench are about to play 20 minutes...They have been leading the way how can you even say anything negative about the bench this game?

seriously. the bench was fantastic last night and allowed our starters to get a huge rest for the second game of a back 2 back. that was huge. Mirza was on fire, Thornton played well on both ends and we got the 'good' blatche last night. even collins gave us decent minutes and AK looked decent back from injury.

You want to know why we lost a big lead? and why all year we have had a tendancy to do so?

1) we shoot WAAAAY to many 3 pointers when we are up 20. and alot of them are early in the clock. i understand thats part of how we got the lead, but you are letting them off the hook. they dont have to defend and the long misses lead to run outs and easy points the other way. when you're up 20 you gotta start grinding out possesions.

2) Turnovers. if you're up 20 and dont turn it over it makes it really tough for a team to come back on you

3) timeout usage. kidd did a good job last night, but usually just refuses to use them to stop momentum

i thought collins played well. held his own inside against drummond, scored a few points. i mean want do you want from your 4th string center?

i agree. if we get out of the first i want to avoid miami at all costs. i dont fear the pacers at all. i said last year and into this year that they are a fraud team. it looked for a while like i was way off, but since their red hot start they have really become what i thought they were. a team with no go to player on offense that picks on smaller teams.

Great win. especially after early on it looked like it was going to be no different from the last times we had matched up with them.

but we really dug in and the bench gave us huge minutes in the second quarter, especially with plumlee and pierce getting in foul trouble. Joe Johnson was also great in that 2nd quarter... once smith wasnt on him he got aggressive and bullied smaller defenders in the post for easy scores... the joe of last year would have never woken up after a slow first.

glad to see williams bounce back with 10+ assists after 0 against the knicks. good game for him. his offense was ugly early but he got others involved and competed on defense. which im happy with

Pierce was good and hit some key 3's in the third to help rebuild the lead... i do wish he would cut down on all the really poor turnovers. i mean he looks like a HS kid sometimes with this careless cross court passes

great win. we need to come out and win again. back to back is not an excuse after you rested starters and play a crap team

The bench is the same squad which turns our 30 pt leads into 8 point leads, this is not the first time they did it either. We were blowing them away and they came back in it.

and the bench helped build that very same lead with mirza and thornton raining threes a period earlier. and even when pierce and livingston came back in, the bench trio they were with still continued to play really well.

you cant throw out 5 bench guys, including your #13 and #14 men on the roster (collins, gutiuerez) and just expect to keep clicking like clockwork. i mean you have your 4th string center and 3rd string PG on the floor against their starters.

the bigger issue isnt the bench, its the shot selection. when you are up big in the 4th its not the time to start going YOLO and jacking up 3's with 20 seconds remaining on the shot clock.

and if you want to keep that lead maybe keeping your 12th and 14th guys off the floor would be a good idea. what was gutierez like -13 in 6 minutes? and thats not fault of his own, he was a 10-day contract guy. i just think its silly to hate on the bench for blowing a lead they help build and when 4 out of 6 of them had a great +/- (+14,+13, +7, +6)

not only did the bench not play poorly, they played GREAT. And for anyone to hate on them seems off base. ESPECIALLY considering how many minutes they were asked to play, and how much time we spend with 5 bench players vs. 5 pistons starters.

most teams arent going 12 deep. when you do there are going to be some runs where they dont play great.

Solid win.

SDOT played a great game on both ends.
DWill with 10As & 0 TOs.
JJ hit a few important Js.
Paul 17 on 6-9 & 3-6 was EXTREMELY efficient per usual in 26 minutes. Stop the dumb TOs!
MT10 hotter than hell. MT3 very good.
Good Dray - he is so valuable when he plays with his head screwed on straight.

2 1/2 behind both the Bulls & the Raps - not counting the tiebreaker - with 7 games left. Dim chance to catch either one.
2 games ahead of the Wiz in the L column. 4 games ahead of the Cats in the L column.

Hawks won! & KnUcks lost! I have a feeling that the Nets eliminate the KnUcks from the POs by crushing them on national TV on 4/22. Would be sweet. I have hated the KnUcks since I knew what a basketball was.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I've also been slacking on posting. I usually contribute a pages worth of comments myself lol. But I've been watching as much as I can.
