This year specifically, it wasn't good. LeBron really did put on a 1-man show against the Spurs in these Finals...and his team got CRUSHED. Wade looks like he should retire, Bosh is inconsistent and misused, and all of Miami's role players were garbage.
That kind of is how it was in Cleveland when they lost...LeBron would go off, but nobody else would step up.
Leading up to the Finals, the supporting cast played well enough to at least put up a fight. It didn't become Cleveland until this series.
At the same time, what team could've put up a better fight against the level the Spurs played at in this Finals?
It seemed like all of the players peaked in the system at the Finals because I've never seen SAS play the way they did in these Finals. I'm pretty sure every other team would've lost 4-1 or 4-0 if the Spurs played the same way.
When every win in the NBA Finals is +15 against the 2-time defending champs, I think more attention should be paid to the Spurs winning than Miami losing. (But since LBJ is on Miami, that's what everyone is going to focus on.)
