Mirza is decent on defense if he doesnt have to go side to side. Laterally hes horrible. Also he was on Diaw most of the night and they are about the same size.

Spacing is much better when he is on the floor with Lopez though.

ill take any kind of win against the spurs

just some things i noticed lately, over the past few games i think
-I want to see Dwill be a little more selfish off pick and rolls and attack the basket more often
-I don't understand how plumlee became WORSE and his FT shooting mechanics are terrible, everytime he enters the game i cringe

Mirza balled out, hes attacking the basket more this year. If he adds more of a defensive effort, he will get more playing time.

For those who don't think Joe's comments did not affect the chemistry of the locker room...

"My thing is if you've got an issue with your teammates," Hollins said Thursday on WFAN's "Joe & Evan Show", "go talk to the people you have issues with because that's the manly thing to do, and work it out rather than go on publicly and obscurely making a comment. But he did and we talked about it. He understands. He feels bad about it, and we have overcome that and we have come back."

"It's all part of the growth process and the maturing process. I didn't want to go through it, but going through that has helped us as we've moved forward to be a closer team, and to be a more transparent team with each other, and to understand what it means to be a family, what it means to have conflict and to overcome it, because we are committed to each other and we are committed to winning."

i disagree the spacing is better with mirza/lopez. on paper, yes, it makes sense. but rewatching the games it hasnt been the case. mostly because they have barely played together... even with mirza starting vs the spurs that duo didnt see 20 minutes together.

I don't think there was any question he had an effect on the chemistry in the locker room....a negative one, and it took Hollins taking him to task about doing the "manly thing" and "work it out" rather than going publicly.

This is basically what a lot of us said when that came out. For someone to speak out is good, but Joe's approach (through the media without talking to the players first) and choice of words (selfish play) were both bad.

its really inexcusable how bad he is/hasnt gotten better at the FT line. hehas plenty of time to work on it.

his form is gross... hand on top of the ball?

He needs a shooting coach to change his form.....if someone can change Michael Kidd-Gilchrists form on his jumpshot, i think anyone can change plumlee's FT. It's really just disgusting and has no potential, atleast guys like deandre jordan get the ball up on an arc
