Everyone has their opinions. I'm not sure many are contradicting themselves.
Theres a group that wants X and theres a different group that wants Y....
For me, I'm standing pat on JJ coming off the bench. Doesn't mean he won't be out there in the 4th but to change things up and get some other guys going.
I'm definitely defending my claim that Hollins has an absurd substitution pattern that hurts our chances late in games and can act as a long term(season) detriment.

my issue that some people want X and some want Y.
my issue is that some people want X, some want Y, some want Z, some want G, some want W, some want L and then some of those people change there mind 3 times a day... and meanwhile ALL of those people are blaming hollins for his lineups when there isnt even anything CLOSE to a general consensus on this board. We dont have a situation where we have a schroeder or Harden rotting on the bench losing minutes to someone.... the alternatives to who hollins is throwing out are really flawed players themselves. THATs my issue. bashing hollins for not playing the right lineups when no one here can come close to agreeing on what that is.
my second issue is someone wants X then they want Y then they want X then they want Y again.
6 page thread on hollins being a moron because he isnt giving brook enough time or is sitting him to long. then a 3 page thread 2 days later on how hollins is terrible for over working lopez when lopez has to leave the game with a foot issue. then people killing hollins in the next game thread for not playing lopez enough in the 4th again.
Start jack. jack sucks. jack should play. jack should be traded. jack should play but off the ball
Larkin should start. ZOMG larkin is awful, Larkin needs to start WITH jack.
Joe sucks. joe needs to be traded. joe has to play bogs sucks. joe should play but as a point forward
its stuff like that. how any coach, let alone hollins is supposed to know when his guys will play well and when they will suck is beyond me. this team is comprised mostly of backups.... backups who are asked to start and play big minutes. guys who have been backups because they arent consistent or have major flaws. it is easy to sit here as fans, watch larkin play well last night, and say 'why sint hollins playing this guy more'.... but looking back a week ago everyone wanted larkin benched.
my last issue is people saying hollins is stubborn with his rotations. we have played 11 games. we have had 4 different starting lineups. we have played 11 different guys rotation minutes. last year we had over a dozen different starting lineups in the second half alone. we benched dwill, we benched lopez. our 2 best players when they werent performing. we started young guys, we started old guys, we started role guys like anderson. we started defenders, we started shooters.....
hollins may have been stubborn in the past, but he has shown nothing but a willingness to change his lineups since becoming net coach and has not had any issue sitting starts or starting rookies. (markel, CJ, Karasev, Bogs all starter last year, RHJ starting this year)

joe should stop shooting if he is struggling and just focus on passing and feeding the hot hand. he just doesnt have much lift on his shot or energy.

This all the nuisance of sports discussions on message boards. Its part of the game and even more so that of a NETs fan.
It's easy to say everyone this or everyone that, there are groups that have been consistent with stances and some inconsistent but not to the large numbers that's implied.
I know I haven't wishy wash my views on Hollins and players so I can only speak for myself.
from my understanding though, I thought Hollins started RHJ per MGT's request or insistence?

Idk how Nets fans can get on a 34yr old Joe Johnson for not playing like its 2009, and ignore the steaming pile of **** that is Bojan Bogdanovic

Re: Joe Johnson: Point Forward?
joe have to be benched its getting way too ridiculous now. He doesnt run back on D, leaves guys wide open, let guys go right by him, doesnt box out, hes too much of a liability on D and not only that he can not hit a shot from anywhere. He use to be automatic on post ups and the floaters from the free throw line on in. If he cant hit a wide open shot then why is he in the starting lineup.
Joe would be much better off as a 6th man. Would be able to get better shots off against bench players and can be the point forward for the bench. Think we should start Larkin because he is the ONLY good 3 point shooter on the team smh and even though hes a liability on D at least he hustles and he cant be much worse than Joe who gives us absolutely nothing.
Larkin, Jack, RHJ, Thad and Lopez could be the starting lineup. Would like to see Sloan get some backup point guard minutes with Brown/Bogs at the backup 2, joe backup 3, Trob back up 4 (should get more minutes) and Bogs at 5.

Re: Joe Johnson: Point Forward?
Nets MGMT has to man up and sit Joe and bring him on as 6th man. He is shot, legs gone. Damn shame that nobody on the bench can push him and take his minutes. Ellington, Bojan and Karasev are all dumpster juice.

Re: Joe Johnson: Point Forward?
Because one's making $24 mill a year and expected to be the team's second best player, and the other is making $3 mill, playing off the bench? And no one's defending Bogdanovic either.shakendfries wrote:Idk how Nets fans can get on a 34yr old Joe Johnson for not playing like its 2009, and ignore the steaming pile of **** that is Bojan Bogdanovic

its amazing that this team had no injuries so far except willie reed during the whole year.
