That's based on nothing but conjecture. His IQ is probably the highest on the team hence why he is considered a coach in waiting.
It's hilarious how you say his statement is based on conjecture and then the very next statement you make is conjecture.
LOL
Defense is something quantifiable. There are stats that prove he isnt a bad defender which I posted.
BBIQ is purely based on opinion.
1) Defense is not accurately quantifiable especially when we're talking about single value statistics.
There are stats that attempt to give a particular value to overall defense which fail to capture some major and minor nuances of defense. The same can be said about offensive statistics.
Stats such as PER are largely based off of box-score accumulation. Most people (especially those who have watched Jason Kidd) know the box score does not capture all (and in some cases most of) the true positive/negative impact a player has on a game. There's so much more to be said about this subject but I'll stop here because my main comment wasn't even about this.
2) You're the one who said "That's based on nothing but conjecture. His IQ is probably the highest on the team hence why he is considered a coach in waiting."
You said that MDB's comment is "based on nothing but conjecture" but your very next sentence ("His IQ is probably the highest on the team hence why he is considered a coach in waiting") is based on unprovable assumption.
— We don't know what Jack's IQ is.
— You're making the assumption that if Jack has a high IQ, his IQ level is what makes most players think he'd be a good coach. We don't know why Jack was considered one of top players to become a coach by his peers. All we do know that is most players have liked him as a teammate.
