Hollin is such a **** coach. Lead dwindling late in the fourth quarter, he calls a timeout, and the play called after it led to a jarrett jack contested 20 footer with 17 seconds left in the shot clock. Bottom 5 coach in this league.

That never happened. That was an uncontested shot and it wasnt on any called play. Brook wasnt even setting a screen but he was in between Jack and his defender as he was going to set up in the right block. The defender went under Brook giving Jack a free look. The next play down Jack ran a beautiful PnR with Brook hitting him in stride for a layup to give us a 6 point lead and essentially seal the game. His only other shot in the quarter was on a possession where we were killing the clock a couple possessions later

If you want call Hollins a bad coach it should be for running multiple high PnRs for Joe at the end of the game. Stop trying to fabricate some Jack bashing narrative. And in a win no less. Jack was a side note in this game. He didnt play good or bad. He had the 2nd highest +/- on the team (+7) and was 2:1 on Ast:TO. Brook and Thad won us this game and that should be the story. Stop being a crotchety fan for one day and enjoy the win that no one expected us to get. This isnt a team you complain about the margin of victory.

Sure... "that never happened"

And who the hell is complaining about Jack? The entire point of my post was to criticize Lionel Hollins. The team held an 11 point lead which had been cut down to 4. Lionel Hollins calls a timeout and instead of setting up a play to try and get off a good shot due to ball movement and burn some extra time off the clock in the proces, he called for a contested mid range pull up with 66% of the shot clock still at his disposal.

You can be glad when the team backs its way into a win for all I care... just don't have the nerve to tell me to not be annoyed when something is clearly done stupidly. We would have 3-4 extra wins if we had a competent head coach that had any semblance of a game plan.

Devin is the biggest Jack hater there is bar non. I have gone back and forth with him a number of times on TBG and he admitted it. Even his praises of Jack are usually backhanded compliments. I recorded the game and I know what play it was. We were just beginning to get into our set and all of a sudden Jack wasnt being guarded tightly. Of course you take that shot, it was an open look and Jack is a good mid range shooter. The whole purpose of running a play is to get an open look.

I understand that at a certain point in the game running clock is more important then scoring but we werent at that point yet. There was still 3 minutes left in the game.

Do you watch a lot of games? In case you havent, let me explain something to you. We dont have plays drawn up with good ball movement involved at the end of games. Hell, we cant even get the ball in bounds half the time. Hollins calls for Joe Johnson Iso clearouts in late game situations. And yes it has caused us wins and Hollins deserves to be fired for it.
