This pretty much ends his two season tenure with the Nets. I know I criticized him often but he has heart and a great determination for the game. I hope he can join a contender in a few seasons. Good luck, Jack.

Any favorite Jarrett Jack games or moments? I think the game winner over Stephen Curry still ranks as my favorite one.

sucks he went down, and sucks he in all likelyhood wont be back. also sucks we cant use him as a trade chip.

during brooklyn era, he was one of the very few guys who busted his butt every game. he sucked at times last year, but stepped up his game big time this season. nothing but respect for the dude.

not looking forward to the Larkin/sloan. sloan is bad and we have seen larkins shortcomings.... maybe this pushes king to make a deal?

Blessing in disguise for the Nets IMO.

lopez shot volume had little to do with jack, and everything to do with lopez not having an aggressive mindset. i dont see his shots increasing much. and i cant see our offense takign a step forward with jack out. Sloan is a really bad offensive player

It sicken's me that when I read comments on "the blog" people are celebrating this as a good thing for the team. They dont have many knowledgeable posters left over there. I keep reading how Jack is "sneaky" bad and that his numbers dont mean much. Last year the same people harped on his +/- ad nauseum.

We will see how meaningless his "numbers" are. Jack was the glue of this team. For those who dont think so, they should rewatch the flagrant on Lopez. The only person who came to his aid was Jack. Not Thad. Not Bogs. Not Joe. Maybe I am old school but you dont let your best player get gooned like that without getting in the other teams face. Do you think the Warriors would be passive if that was Curry? How about the Cavs if that was Lebron?

Without Jack's leadership out on the court I fear for the worst. A lot of our guys are playing for their next contract that they will likely get from a different team. Things are setting up to get really ugly to finish out the season.

This is why I was pissed off with the rest of the team. Jack was swarmed by several Celtics. I am glad cooler heads prevailed because in reality it was a hard foul but not something to throw blows over especially since I don't think he meant to hurt Brook but on another team guys would be getting shoved aside and grabbed up for putting their hands on Jack like that. It was embarrassing to see.

Look at what happened last night.

Jack is gone and they force fed Lopez in the 4th. He struggled. People on the blog were blaming Hollins for force-feeding Lopez lol.

The double standards are insane. People were saying "Lopez wasn't getting enough touches in the 4th". When he is given touches repeatedly, they say "Why are we running the same play to Lopez?"

They want to suggest the idea that Lopez is a star, the Nets are a playoff team, and Hollins is holding everyone back. Lopez was given the opportunity to carry the team and he folded. It's insane how many excuses are crafted for him.

Lopez is a B tier player that can carry a team as the 2nd-3rd option. He can hold his own on most nights. He should only be the featured scoring option given the game plan and what's actually working in that game. He's not an automatic go to option.

We really need an above average, starting caliber point guard and an every night shooting/slashing/scoring wing option on this team. If not, Lopez is going to get repeatedly exposed. This team is just not complete and poorly constructed.

Those dudes over there are dumb as the day is long

"Waaaah we should have never cut D-Will this is why we're losing!!!" as if Williams was out there carrying this team to wins last year. And guess what? The biggest reason we stink is because the wings are the worst in the league. We'd still have 10 wins with D-Will here. Jack was having a better year than D-Will as is before he tore his knee up.

"Lopez is being misused" No he isn't. Lopez is a wishy washy player who cannot be force fed in the post and is a poor decision maker. Lopez isn't a superstar, he's a B tier player who cannot be relied upon when things get messy.

Hollins is an ass but when your wings all have single digit PERs you're not going to do a damn thing in the NBA aside from lose.

lopez saw double teams at points, but first 6 minutes of the 4th quarter they had zellar on him 1 on 1 with no help and brook couldnt get to the rim. thats an issue. his post game has not developed at all. he is still taking those reverse spin fade away dirk shots.

he has no counter... just dribble down and hook over his left shoulder. nothing going back to the baseline.

he lacks aggression, and when given isos, lacks a post game.

yup, and sloan stepping in with jack down only makes it worse... now not only are our SG/SF's terrible, our PGs are as well.

1-3 we are complete trash starting backups and 3rd string d-leaguers.

PF thad having a career year but still isnt a guy who can impact wins as your #1/#2 guy

lopz isnt someone who can carry a team

we have zero on the bench

The only thing worse then the blogs idiot fans is the blogs idiot owner. He calls himself "Net Income" because and uses the blogs twitter as his personal because he's insecure yet he thinks he's some sort of rock star. Plus he thinks we use real gm because we can curse here. Lol. Morons the whole bunch of them.

It funny because it predicated by 5 conditions that all have to happen simultaneously.

Rainy is the worst. I dont know what I dislike about him more. His needlessly long posts or how he tries to throw out every stat that Lopez isnt good at.

Lopez is a poor rebounder.
Rainy: Rebounding is overrated.

Lopez cant handle a double team
Rainy: It's because we isolate him and dont have anyone else on the strong side.

Lopez turns the ball over alot.
Rainy: It's because we need to clear out the strong side. (Yes he uses both arguments)

Lopez is soft and cant establish position.
Rainy: It's because Hollins is playing Young in the post.

On another team with wings and a PG Thad would be getting legit all star consideration. Instead, a B Tier season is being flushed down the drain. That being said, when he's your team's best player you get results like this. Lopez is becoming more disappointing with each game, as he is being exposed.

With the way Dwight has been playing, I'd call Houston right now and cut bait on Brook but then durability becomes an issue.

I still like Reed and Larkin as bench players.

dwight isnt the answer with all his injuries, he isnt even close to the same player he was before.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
