I'm probably not going to watch after this weekend. We're staring in the face of a potential 12 game losing streak at home with Orlando, San Antonio, Manhattan, Portland all coming up. My interest level is completely gone until RHJ returns and C-Mac debuts after all-star break.
It's torture to watch our PG and SG rotation at this point and the fact Billy King hasn't signed anyone seems to only confirm how scared he is of his job security and preserving Proky's mandate to avoid the repeater tax considering the repeated tax doesn't hit until the off-season. At this point, the only thing that keeps me satisfied is hearing more reports leak that King and Hollins are out the door soon as the regular season wraps up.

Yeah... while it's arguable whether Jack was a net positive player... him going down is a bit symbolic of this Nets season. Only the heroes can stomach these games and these repeated starts where they quickly fall behind and deflate any excitement a fan could have about the game. The Nets need to make trades.
key is to not post during the games live.... thats not going to do anybody any good with all the ranting![]()
usually i just wait until the next morning.
team stinks, but honestly this team is easier for me to watch then last year. they play hard for 48 minutes and i dont expect them to win and they keep most games close, even vs good teams.
last year we didnt play very hard, should have been better, ad frequently had been blownout
Yeah, overall, considering Johnson's demisse, Bogdanovic not really taking a step forward and the roster, the Nets have done well enough and have held it together well. I think they could have had an extra 2/3 wins with a little more luck and composure at the end(games like Warriors, Kings, Magic come to mind). Still, it's very tough to watch because you basically go into every game expecting the other team to beat you. That is draining and not fun.
Last year, while the characters on the team frustrated you and upset you, you still could see some kind of light at the end of the tunnel in therms of maybe going on a run, making the playoffs, minimum goals like those. This year, there's hardly anything, other than looking forward to free agency.
Speaking of last year, have a look at Deron Williams. Hit a couple of clutch shots on Tues. https://youtu.be/h6JAWZhYjmI?t=130 First to take a lead with 2 seconds to go... and then in the second overtime, hitting a game winner with 1 second left. So, symbolically, you look at this guy and he maybe wa dogging it, had a negative energy about him and so on, but there was some kind of expectation that maybe he could wake up, there was an upside about him. Now, you can only hope for... effort. While not having a goal of playoffs or draft position. It stinks, but then again, I guess this was what was more likely to happen.
Are you expecting the Nets to eventually start managing minutes(Lopez/Young) or do you think theyll play out the season trying to win games even if they only really count for the Celtics ping pong balls? While I've been obsessed with their draft position, watching the past couple of games, I felt like the Nets should just go the route of trying out players. I mean, even for the players, they know there's nothing really on the line this year and it's probably better to manage their bodies. I've shifted my attention to some other teams who might tank... and surpass the Nets. I really really would hate to see the Celtics get a top 3 pick this year.
I'm all but willing to bet anyone now that the Nets pick will be the 1st overall pick.

Why someone who is going to be just as bad as Sloan? We are better off forcing Markel in at PG.
