Are the Knicks really that bad without Melo?

I also liked Spike Lee bitching about every little thing. Hell, I should be angry at Spike Lee. The last movie I truly liked from him was during a time the Knicks were a contender. It's been that long.

Glad we won. I'm sure the media was ready to run all these knick love fest articles and anti-Prokhorov stuff.

- Larkin aka Tiny Hands finally put together a good game. He's been totally off since the concussion. Glad he finally got his revenge by owning Jerian Grant.

- Thad shut down Porzingis. I didn't expect that but very pleased to see him bounce back after LaMarcus torched him on Monday. Thad has defensive potential that I hope someone like Thibs could unlock.

- like MrDB said, Brook showing up against his brother is annoying. Goes to show its a matter of effort. I want to believe in Brook as our Marc Gasol but his inability to show up consistently is a problem. I suspect Mason will come back to Barclays and embarrass Brook.

- Joe and Bojan showing up makes us look like an NBA team. It's the sad reality our entire season has been railroaded by horrendous SG/SF production. I am glad both of them showed up tonight but watch both of them get completely torched by McCollum and Crabbe. Consistently inconsistent.

- I thought Tony Brown did an excellent job tonight giving everyone minutes but without blowing the cohesion of the team within the game. Don't mind Johnson seeing 39 minutes since he was useful tonight.

Bargs saw too many minutes but T-Rob wasn't that good either. I would like to believe based off the post game comments that Bargs overuse was Brown giving him some extra time against his former former team.

Pissing off Knick, Celtic fans and the Clippers win!? Great night for us.

Yeah, this is what I have been saying all season. If Joe and Bojan showed up like that 4 out of every 5-6 games this team would not be this far out of the playoff race, its been their sub par production that has damned this team all season more than anything else. You see how much better the team is when those two knock down shots? Joe looked like he had serious pep in his step and Bojan was on fire. Too bad that's probably the last game we'll see that happen.

And yeah, Brook really spit in every Net fan's face last night. A 4th qtr where he comes in guns ablaze, squaring up his man and attacking, finishing strong. When he saw Robin in front of him he just turned it on, how come he doesn't do that every other night against other guys?

Knew the Nets could win this one after the Melo news.

Now come the Blazers... expecting the Nets to be overwhelmed with their speed and athleticism......... but it's still a winnable game if they can someohow slow the game down.

Eh I think you guys are blowing this out of proportion. Those two have been playing each other for decades they now. It's likely not an effort thing, but Brook "knowing" that he can take Robin based on having gone against him for most of his life. When I used to play hoops regularly, every time me and one of my other friend get match-up, my eyes light up. I knew I can get wherever I want, and get whatever shot I wanted against him anytime I wanted.

But I get matched up with one of my other friends (who has better foot speed) and I hope my shot is falling that day because I'm likely not getting by him.

I'm sure many out there who plays/used to play hoops have that one guy.

Its a confidence issue. Earlier in his career he used to get punked by Dwight Howard. Now when Lopez gets within striking distance of Howard he goes right at him. There's guys that just punk Lopez when they shouldn't. Like DeAndre Jordan and Greg Monroe. Guys that just kick his ass from quarter to quarter.

I mean the look in Brook's eye when he saw Robin defending him and then made one decisive motion and went up really strong...he should look at every opponent that way.

I think it could be more confidence than effort. But it all boils down to familiarity.
