Sloan has three shooters on the floor wide open on a fast break and he decides to take a contested layup which gets blocked by Bass

I'm sick and tired of watching these dumbass point guards. I could accept being a bad defender but a smart PG
somehow we have a collection of point guards that can't score, defend or think.

8 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist on 3/8 FG, 2/4 3PT in 21 minutes.

He got blocked a few times but I thought he was solid out there despite the mistakes. He definitely has a beautiful shot and quick release. I would've liked him to get more shot attempts. He was wide open a few times and Sloan/Larkin froze him out. He's a little slow footed defensively, though.

You have to love how Brook is the #1 priority on offense and is responding to it.

I knew were we going to lose with the way Russel was lighting up our garbage ass PGs and just a lot of dumb mistakes from both of them. We need competent PG play in here badly.

Either way, win or lose we have to take away positives here. Bojan has quietly been putting together some good games since Joe's departure.

If we hit all our free throws the game should have been won. But a lot of bone headed moves towards the end of the game for sure.

pretty hard considering most of our starters are actually bench players :banghead:

How are you guys feeling about Sloan? Idky but I root for the guy. I don't even have any real ties to him.

Seems coming out of the break he's been more solid. Kinda settling into that 10-6-3-1 type games pretty consistently.

Thoughts & Opinions?

He's several tiers higher than Larkin that's for sure. I like him as a backup.

Sloan is 2nd or 3rd string PG. Larkin belongs in the D-League, at best.

Before the game, I definitely liked our chances. However, considering that 1) you have to pray during each possession that our PGs don't turn the ball over and 2) this was the 2nd night of a back-to-back, I'm not surprised by the result.

Larkin isnt an NBA player. He must be in bottom 3 among all NBA PGs. Even with how bad Billy King was as a GM, i have no idea what he was thinking signing Larkin. You know a player is complete trash if you think that minimum level salary ($1.45 mill) is too much for him.

Sloan is a third string PG but he looks like a good starting PG in comparison to Larkin.
