Isaiah Thomas was a solid prospect evaluator as well.

Unfortunately, the role of a GM also involves asset and financial management, roster composition, creating a healthy work environment among other things.

If I have 5 sections to an exam and I get 100% on section and zero on the rest of it, I still failed miserably. The same goes for GMs. If a GM is pretty good at prospect evaluation but fail at just about everything else, you're still a terrible GM.

I actually wouldn't mind if King was a scout. However, any job that gives him more responsibility than that is probably going to be disastrous.
