Bojan. He has NBA-matured hugely and it even shows on international level play. If they decide to keep him ( which I hope they do), I think he can be a 17/3/3 player for us on 48/40/85% . His only mistake was to come to NBA late, which means his prime will be a couple years too late in regards of usual expectations. Now he has 2 NBA seasons under his belt and will surely break out now. Atkinson is the exact coach to use him correctly.
Only downside is that we will probably be priced out on him and might not be able to keep him in the summer. He is gonna get his one and only fat contract next summer. Something like 3y/50mil

I'm rooting for my fellow Canadian Bennett as well. This is the perfect low pressure situation for him to be in where he can build his confidence.

I'm gonna go with McCullough. Can't pick Bojan, I think he has proven that he at least belongs in the NBA.

I think the 4 position is the least competitive when it comes to depth, and from what I've seen Mccullough isn't trying hard enough to fight for its role. he's kinda disappointing atm.

Everybody at PF has something to proove. Booker has to prove he's more than just a bench player, Bennett has to prove he belongs in the league, and McCullough has to prove he has a future with this team.
My thing with McCullough is I think the talent is definitely there, I just think he doesn't give a sh*t, or at least not until its worth caring for. He only seems aggressive when he has the opportunity to perform a highlight play. I feel like the attention gives him the extra motivation he needs.

Re: Pick an (unproven) player to break expectations this year
Need minutes to break out and the minutes distribution at the wing spots is so up in the air now, so I'll go with one of the bigs. Others have said Booker and Bennett, so I'll go with Hamilton. While he's been projected in lineups as the backup 5, I wonder if he might get minutes playing alongside Lopez. Hamilton is a stretch big, really mobile, can run the floor (probably better than Lopez) and is just a well rounded player (unlike Booker who is not a perimeter threat). Running horns with both Lopez and Hamilton could be interesting.

I really hope RHJ gets his jumper going. He'll be very important to the team if it happens.
Thanks for the honesty.MorbidHEAT wrote:My dislike for Lin started during Linsanity. It was absurd. It's probably irrational dislike at this point, but man he gets on my nerves. He's been tearing us up though.

Bojan. I believe he's proven himself as an NBA player, but not a consistent one. I think this year he's going to solidify himself as a 16-18ppg scorer, shooting 40% from 3. He'll be a regular scoring option every night for us.
Also my hopes are that Bennett breaks out and proves himself to be a good rotational player.

Re: Pick an (unproven) player to break expectations this year
i know you discluded lopez but he has the best chance. he has top 25 player talent and if atkinson can develop all the weak spots in his game he can be demarcus cousins-like.
outside of that... hard to say. RHJ might do it defensively but thats less recognizable. so id probably go with bogdanovic, although i dont really see him doing much different then last year onyl with maybe more volume?
