Craig Carton, 'Boomer & Carton' co-host, arrested by FBI on fraud charges

FBI agents arrested sports radio host Craig Carton early Wednesday at his Manhattan home, officials said.

Carton, one half of WFAN's "Boomer and Carton Show," was arrested on investment fraud-related charges, the FBI confirmed.

WPIX reported he’d been arrested for involvement in a $2 million fake tickets scam.

The FBI isn't coming for you unless they have you dead to rights. Wow. I know there's a lot of people that are going to be gleeful over this. I kind of got turned off to their show last year after what I found to be blatantly racist crap coming out of Boomer Esiason's mouth regarding Colin Kaepernick, so I stopped listening to them after while.

I know Mike Francesca and Peter Rosenberg are going to kick his back in on air today, if you know anything about NY sports radio Carton has made a lot of enemies over the years. I thought he was an ass hole mainly on air as a gimmick, but if he was really defrauding people over fake tickets he's a horrible human being, period.

This is also Nets related, since Boomer and Carton usually call 1 game a year of ours on WFAN and they also have a food stand in Barclays. It may be best to cut those ties before season's beginning if you're Yormark and company

I stopped supporting those two 'privileged' hosts a long time ago but I'm not surprised Carton was arrested. Definitely surprised he's been out here trapping and scamming.

This looks like a legit bust. He's gonna do some type of time for this.

oh yeah man. They showed their "privilege" big time last year. It's one thing to disagree with not standing for the flag, but if you are not at least empathetic to the reasons WHY Kaep did not stand, then you are apart of the problem, period. Turned me off as a listener. That, and all of that hobnobbing with fat pig Chris Christie was too much.

I saw video of Boomer announcing that dude got arrested and he looked disgusted. He probably had no idea what the dude was doing.

WFAN morning show co-host Craig Carton was arrested early Wednesday for duping investors out of $5.6 million to cover his staggering gambling debts, authorities said.

Carton turned to crime after running up millions of dollars in losses with two casinos, plus a debt of $825,000 to an unidentified individual, court papers charged.

Welp, I hope he enjoyed his freedom while he can, 1 count of conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud, 1 count of wire fraud and 1 count of securities fraud, the last two counts carry a penalty of 20 years each . he'll be spending the rest of his 40s and most of his 60s locked up in a 4 walled cell in FCI Otisville.

Whoa...that's crazy. I rarely listen to local sports talk radio anymore, so I guess I won't be missing all that much. I feel sorry for any kids and/or significant other who may not have known what he was doing on the side and are now impacted by this.

Swindling or scheming people out of their money is a terrible crime. There's nothing like thinking you're financially secure, when in reality you don't have any of the money you thought you had.

Barclays is going to come down so hard on his ass.

In other Carton-related news, the “Boomer & Carton Kitchen” at Barclays Center will be no more when the upcoming Islanders and Nets seasons begin.
But it has nothing to do Carton’s legal problems. A spokeswoman for the arena said the venue’s contract was up after last season and that it was not part of Barclays’ concessions plan for 2017-18 even before Carton’s off-air problems came to light.
