Let's look at Booker '17 vs Thaddeus '16:
Trevor Booker per 36 in 2017 ($9m/year)
6.3 FG 12.0 FGA 52.0% FG% 32.9% 3PT 67.0% FT% 11.8 REB 2.9 AST 1.5 STL 0.6 BLK 14.6 PTS 105 Ortg 107 Drtg -1.5 OBPM 1.8 DBPM
Thaddeus Young per 36 in 2016 ($12m/year)
7.4 FG 14.4 FGA 51.4% FG% 23.3% 3PT 64.4% FT% 9.9 REB 2.0 AST 1.7 STL 0.6 BLK 16.5 PTS 104 Ortg 107 Drtg -0.5 OBPM 0.6 DBPM
Their stats are very similar except Thad shoots a tiny bit more (hence, more PTS), Booker rebounds a bit better, and Booker's slightly better on defense. It's hard to compare their 3pt shooting since there's too much variability, but it is interesting to note that Booker's 3PT% is 32.9%, about the same as Thad's career 3PT% of 32.8%.
Marks basically got the same player but $3m/year cheaper, with solid leadership skills, and the bonus of getting Levert through the actual trade, and a conditional 2nd rd pick. A+ move for Sean Marks.
Regarding the bet that I did with hood30 about Booker shooting at high volume (200+ 3s over the season) at a decent % (33%), I concede that hood30 is the winner. Booker did shoot at a decent rate but he's on pace to shoot only around 85 3PTA this season. I'm not sure why Booker only averaged around 1 3pt attempt per game when the Nets pretty much gave everyone the green light to shoot the 3 ball. In fact, there were plenty of times where Booker seemed to pass up an open 3 shoot. Whatever the reason, he just didn't have the confidence.

Happy 30th birthday! Booker has been a hell of a signing for Sean Marks. I hope we can keep him for another few years.
