He's also shooting better than DeMarre.

If Kyrie Irving got knocked to the floor on those same drives Spencer made tonight what would the call have been on each of them? no whistle?

ah, you're a brother from the old days. what drew you into the Nets??

Personally I think he overworks the officials. It is a distraction and it does get into the head of officials, but not always the way you want. That job is all about focus and when a player constantly works you over even on the things that you've seen and ruled acceptable you lose confidence in anything that person has to say. Every referee call is all or nothing, but the reality of basketball contact is that everything is in degrees. There's contact ALL the time. You can't award 75% of a foul.
Also players are often unreliable judges of the contact they receive because of their limited perspective.
Here's something he can do that will 100% get him more respect from the refs. Demonstrate a little bit of respect for the referees by not questioning almost everything. Their call rate is evaluated as well above 90% to get that level. And that's not some referee organisation massaging each other, that's competitive evaluation to see who gets the 65 most coveted jobs in the world in that profession. He wants respect, give some respect.
Not a problem isolated to Din. Just an area he can grow in. Because right now he's out of alignment with the operating reality of basketball officiating.
I know I'm coming across as a referee apologist here. I know they make bad calls and things can get missed consistently and it's frustrating. I just don't like people saying its bad faith refereeing. These are professionals with professional pride out there making mistakes in a hard job. You look at the Celtics thread and up until the last 2 minutes they're complaining about how biased the officiating is towards the Nets (which coincidentally look at the FT differential 22 to 15 in our favor).
Sorry for the rant.

I looked up the nets from some sport mags and found New Jersey Nets. It was just after they had drafted Derrick Coleman. The rest is history.
So I'm a Nets tragic cos Bon Jovi was my favourite band and he is from New Jersey.
Sad but true..... lol

Where was the obvious foul calls? The refs put the whistles away for both sides the end of the game. If Boston lost fans would be crying about Kyrie getting hit at the end. It's hard to blame the refs when your team goes to the line more and has less calls going against you. Fans only ten tmsee fouls happening to their team....
