He's also shooting better than DeMarre.

yes, I was very impressed by his shooting, his corner threes were money... the clippers got a lot corner threes to Doc's credit

If Kyrie Irving got knocked to the floor on those same drives Spencer made tonight what would the call have been on each of them? no whistle?

Hehe. Yeah that's where my argument falls down. Ah well... just gets on my nerves. Even dudes who I have the utmost respect for as mature, composed, professional basketball players like Tim Duncan have been massive whingers. I think refereeing is just one of those things where as a player and you feel like you've been hard done by it takes the patience of a saint to refocus without venting.

Tracking players performance vs Celtics 6 Jan 2018

DMC - 15 (-)
RHJ - 12 (-)
Acy - 11 (=)
Crabbe - 10 (-)

ah, you're a brother from the old days. what drew you into the Nets??

When I got into basketball back in the late 80's All you could buy over here in Australia was Lakers, Celtics and Bull's merch (rightfully so) So I was down at our local newsagent, flipping through some magazines, when I noticed John Bon Jovi wearing a nets hat. I looked up the nets from some sport mags and found New Jersey Nets. It was just after they had drafted Derrick Coleman. The rest is history.
So I'm a Nets tragic cos Bon Jovi was my favourite band and he is from New Jersey.

Don't forget they took that 3 pointer off Dinwiddie in the second quarter. Sliding doors....

And the Widdie no call to the Tatum corner 3 off the bobbled rebound. 5 point swing in 10 seconds. :tooth

Personally I think he overworks the officials. It is a distraction and it does get into the head of officials, but not always the way you want. That job is all about focus and when a player constantly works you over even on the things that you've seen and ruled acceptable you lose confidence in anything that person has to say. Every referee call is all or nothing, but the reality of basketball contact is that everything is in degrees. There's contact ALL the time. You can't award 75% of a foul.

Also players are often unreliable judges of the contact they receive because of their limited perspective.

Here's something he can do that will 100% get him more respect from the refs. Demonstrate a little bit of respect for the referees by not questioning almost everything. Their call rate is evaluated as well above 90% to get that level. And that's not some referee organisation massaging each other, that's competitive evaluation to see who gets the 65 most coveted jobs in the world in that profession. He wants respect, give some respect.

Not a problem isolated to Din. Just an area he can grow in. Because right now he's out of alignment with the operating reality of basketball officiating.

I know I'm coming across as a referee apologist here. I know they make bad calls and things can get missed consistently and it's frustrating. I just don't like people saying its bad faith refereeing. These are professionals with professional pride out there making mistakes in a hard job. You look at the Celtics thread and up until the last 2 minutes they're complaining about how biased the officiating is towards the Nets (which coincidentally look at the FT differential 22 to 15 in our favor).

Sorry for the rant.

Sorry man this is pure BS. NO ONE on our team questions every call. Definitely not Dinwiddie, a guy who was out of the league a year ago. That's just ridiculous. This isn't an entitled team filed with stars.

If you really think guys get the benefit of the doubt by NOT COMPLAINING, youre way off. I never complain about refs but if you don't think our guys are getting the short end of the straw just because we don't deserve it, idk what to say

Our coach is the only guy who really complains on the team. Compare it to all the elite teams and our guys are choir boys

Looking at the FT differential is 100% meaningless without watching the game. Free throws could be dead even and that wouldn't mean a thing if one team is chucking 3s and the other is attacking the rim.

Where was the obvious foul calls? The refs put the whistles away for both sides the end of the game. If Boston lost fans would be crying about Kyrie getting hit at the end. It's hard to blame the refs when your team goes to the line more and has less calls going against you. Fans only ten tmsee fouls happening to their team....

GTFO with that noise. this is the most unbiased board you will find and we never get on the refs despite being one the most histrically disrespected teams since we rarely have stars here.

C's got the benefit late. still on the nets to make that play down 2 with the ball at the end.

celtics annuncers are as shameful as it gets. Heinson and scal may as well still be wearing a celtics jersey

a friend at work came up and asked me why did Hollis-Jefferson fade away on that last second shot attempt. He's a sixers fan but he was rooting for us to beat Boston

good question  he really makes stuff more difficult than it has to be but its working overall. hopefully the staff makes not of that in the film session.
